"I’d had a busy day, had to drive to Larvik and stay to catch the 8am ferry in the morning! Parked in the underground carpark, had to pay on exit but the lift took me up into the hotel. Didn’t take any luggage, just sat in the bar for a while to unwind, very nice bar staff. Then up to the room and slept! Perfect bed, so comfortable I was off in no time, still had my glasses and hearing aids on when the receptionist knocked on my door at 6am to wake me. He even made me a coffee and carried it down to my car as I’m on crutches these days…"

"Charming, cozy hotel with character. The Kong Carl is conveniently located near the Sandefjord town center, an easy walk from the train station. Staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The room was as described, complete with mini-fridge and hot water kettle, and both the interior and exterior of the hotel have old-world charm and character. The hotel restaurant is convenient and delicious, with a well-stocked breakfast buffet and superb dinner menu. Walking distance to tasty coffee shops, the Hvaltorvet shopping mall, and the waterfront, among other things. A lovely stay—tusen takk!"

"Fantastic property - great location, wonderful nautical feel to the family house. Right on the harbor and the house had a rowboat and paddleboards our family really enjoyed! Within walking distance to a grocery store. Fully outfitted indoors and out: BBQ, outdoor chairs/tables, boat house. TV, books to read (english og norsk).We had a wonderful, relaxing time here - one of the nicest places we have stayed as a family. We would highly recommend! Great communication with the owner and the GPS took us right to the location."

"Had high expectation to visit this place. The service was disappointing at the best. we were left alone on our self with zero help from the staff.. judging from previous review, the same problem still exist. I guess the only improvement they’re trying to do is to reply bad reviews. It’s the same standard answer without actual action to improve their service."
