Charming Cottage Walking Distance to Everything

Experience the quintessential Santa Barbara neighborhood. The house was built in 1930, and has been extensively remodeled including the bathrooms and the kitchen. The living room is comfortable and well appointed as well as featuring a 70" diagonal Sony TV, surround sound, Basic Cable, Amazon Fire Stick, Netflix, HBO Max, Amazon Prime Video, Showtime, Hulu, and a BluRay/DVD player. There is Eeros Mesh enhanced WiFi and it's reliable and fast. All 3 bedrooms are large, airy, and full of light. The bedroom with the en-suite bath has a 43" Sony TV which has all the streaming channels, but no Basic Cable channels. The kitchen is new with stainless appliances and granite tops. The Sunroom connected to the kitchen is the place to hang out with it's French doors (3) and 4 large windows. Off the Sunroom is a redwood deck w/ umbrella, and a comfortable and colorful patio with seating and umbrellas. The living room has a gas log fireplace, as well as a new dramatic mantel, hearth & surround.

The places to walk to are pretty impressive and include 2 grocery stores, a Trader Joe's, 3 sushi bars, 3 Italian places, several Mexican places, a couple of new California Cuisine excellent eateries, a CVS, 4 (at least) nail salons, bookstore ( printed books), Santa Barbara Municipal Golf Course, 3 breakfast places, a couple of bakeries, several bars, 2 Thai restaurants, 3 pizza joints, 2 dry cleaners, a Starbucks, gas stations, liquor stores, convenience stores, on and on....ALL of this a few blocks from our quiet neighborhood.

My wife and I have a small and separate cottage at the rear of the property, that we stay in while you are our guests in the main house. We occupy the carport which is attached to our unit, and far back patio as well. Access to the detached laundry is provided. We use the driveway to access our unit and carport. Street parking in front of the house is readily available.

Best place to stay in Santa Barbara

Beautiful home, comfortable beds, quiet and beautiful neighborhood with only a short walk to Trader Joe's, etc. The owner and his wife were excellent hosts. Met us and gave us a tour and provided answers to any questions we had. We would definitely stay there again.

Great family house

Rodney and Cindy's house was perfect for our family. There was plenty of space and it felt like home away from home. The kitchen was fully equipped with all cooking utensils, which was important to us as we were travelling with our special needs son.The house was clean and inviting, and the hosts were available if we needed anything. Charming home

House has everything you need. The linens on the beds were so amazing. Kitchen had all appliances and cookware you would desire. Location is great. Close to restaurants and grocery.

Fantastic wedding weekend getaway

We had the best time here! Great neighborhood which was close to many things (Starbucks, CVS, Trader Joes etc.), house was clean and has all the amenities listed. Our host Rodney was kind and welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. Perfect place to stay for our best friend's wedding weekend. It felt so cozy and right at home. Highly recommend!

Beautiful and Peaceful Cottage

The house is lovely, well kept, very clean and quite homey... All the amenities are there and and it has a beautiful neighborhood in which to stroll around. Rodney met us when we checked and was very nice. The home feels very private and our stay was quite restful (and a much needed serene space to come home to during a wedding weekend!). Highly recommended by our family!

Great home, great neighborhood, great location………

This is one of the nicest VRBO’s we’ve experienced. The home itself is spacious and remodeled. It is also spotless and in an established, safe neighborhood. There is plenty of on street parking. Communication with the owner was easy and he was always responsive. A great home base for exploring Santa Barbara. Highly recommended.

The place to stay when visiting Santa Barbara

We were visiting to attend a family wedding. The house is very comfortable with everything you’ll need. Close to stores, restaurants, beach, downtown. The street is quiet and tree lined. Parking couldn’t be easier. Rodney was always available if we had a question or needed something. We will definitely return on our next trip.

Fantastic Graduation Weekend

This was a perfect place to stay for my daughter’s UCSB graduation. Beautiful house and neighborhood. Very clean and it had all the amenities you would want. Rodney even supplied the coffee! Thank you! We love the SB area so even though our daughter has graduated, we definitely will be back!

Very nice host

It was very nice to have the host Rodney greet us when we arrived to show us around the house. The house was really charming. Unfortunately, since we had wedding events to attend throughout the day, we didn't get much of an opportunity to enjoy the house as much as we would have liked. The beds were really comfortable, and that was the most important thing for us.

Rodney was simply amazing! Very kind and informative. Neighborhood is fantastic for an evening walk if so inclined and the property was immaculate. Very quiet neighborhood but so close to everything. It really was a great stay and if we needed to stay in Santa Barbara again we would definitely rent this home. You won’t be disappointed.

Home Away From Home

A perfect stay at this VRBO. It is truly a gem! When you arrive you will immediately notice the beautiful architecture of the house and welcoming front yard. If you are lucky, Rodney will be there to greet you, he is an amazing host. Our family of three had plenty of space to relax and get ready for a wedding in Santa Barbara. The home is so well cared for and the neighborhood is quiet and beautiful…take a walk if you can! This is the perfect location to explore Santa Barbara, you won’t be disappointed!

Fabulous Family Gathering

We travel from Wisconsin to Santa Barbara during the winter, in retirement. We come to Santa Barbara to connect with a daughter and her husband who live in LA. For us Santa Barbara is about family, beautiful winter weather, healthy food, and exercise. Two weeks in this lovely family home, gathering with some of our family members, sent us home refreshed and happy. We enjoyed cooking and eating together. Two daughters worked remotely while we were together. This was the best house for our family in 16 winter visits to Santa Barbara. It nicely accommodated six adults so that we could enjoy each other and still have private space to work, rest, cook, eat together, etc. We loved this house.
