I must start out, i have always thought that the Inn at Vanessie was a hidden trasure near the plaza; an incredible inn filled with comfort, romance, security, and privacy. This visit was by far in contrast to what i once loved about this place.
The staff, i cannot stress enough, was amazing. It was the management that i drew concern. Im not sure if the man was the owner or the manager, but regardless of his title, he does not belong at the Vanessie.
The Vanessie is under renovation. Totally fine. I walked into the former/current banquet room..now doubling as a guest check in space. I walked in, very confused. A tall young man helped me find my way around.
The lovely young lady at desk 2 helped us out, checked us in and very clearly explained necessities, ice, check out times, all the need to knows for our stay. She then offered to walk us to our room. As we were being escorted, the once thought of guest, turned manager, interrupted our walk to give her 2 tubs of coffee and give her instructions. Yup! He did that.
Again in the am, he was there, the staff incredible while he just sat there. No engagement. The breakfast busser was amazing!
Dont know who he is ... because he never once engaged with a single guest!!! He does not belong there
