What I liked most about this hostal is that it attracts all sorts of friendly people from around thw world and that thye hodt an event pretty much each day, keeping you engaged in the community. The staff are super friendly and even join on the daily events. The shared dormitories have slightly uncomfortable beds, but all of the facilites you need are there (locker, shower, and the like. It would be nice to have larger blankets, but it’s only a small negative. Of the ~40 hostels I’ve been to I would say this is my favorite hostel experience yet.

Loved the playground area, big, open, clean, great to work and play! Top tier staff, customer service oriented combined with that bit of spice and playfulness you'd like to see at a hostel. The dorms can be improved, bed situation is comfy but, can be elevated to match their competition in the area- Overall a great stay, and will definitely be back there next year <3

This is a party hostel with way too many men lol. They had house music blasting from 9am- 11pm so if you are considering going back to your room to rest think again. I put my air pods in with noise cancellation, but you cannot cancel that beatttt. Sooo, the music gets old pretty fast and it's playing with no one around, honestly wished they could have just shut it off on most days cuz it is soooo unnescessarily loud. The hostel gets pretty cold at night so we barely got comfortable sleep. It has a very small kitchen. You have to pay for the towels and I requested to have mine swapped for a fresh one since I stayed a week and they told me I would have to pay to get another one. The staff are generally friendly and nice as they are volunteers. However, our check-in experience was brutal and it was sooo hot at 3pm so you could imagine the discomfort. We had to wait until 3 pm sharp to check-in and then it was delayed again because they did not have the right staff member there to do the check-in. So at this point there was a whole line up of ppl waiting to check in. But I stayed in an all girls dorm which was really nice, the bed was clean, the bathroom is a good size. They have nice sized storage for your luggage in the room which is located where the sink and mirror are, which is super convenient when you are trying to get ready. There is a large balcony which has so much potential! We wish they would have added lounge chairs or hammocks so we could enjoy the space and quiet!

This is a brilliant hostel and I had a great time there. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. They were also very good at helping to get the party started. They organise events each evening at the hostel bar, and they also provide offers and recommendations for other places. Bad points: The kitchen lacks A LOT of things. E.g. it didn't have bowls or anywhere near enough cutlery for the number of guests that were staying (and this was in low season). Also, the music starts at 10am and doesn't stop till 11pm when the bar closes. The choice of music was mostly excellent, but I heard some terrible music here too (e.g. annoying fidget house music), so that is something for them to think about. Thank you to all the staff at Straw Hat. Nos vemos pronto!

Staff was cool. It was pretty empty as it's late July/early August. It's in between Zacaleta and Punto so you have to walk or rent a scooter. Police extorted me walking home one night. Crispy chicken sandwich is really solid. Onsite ATM was broken into and un-usable. Mercardo is at the top of the hilly street and has 10-12 restaurants. Kareoke night was hilarious.

El hotel es muy bueno, todo su personales muy amable y te atienden muy bien, tienen muy buena limpieza, las habitaciones son cómodas y su aire acondicionado funciona perfectamente, hay actividades que hacen muy amena la estancia y la recomendación de tours para hacer durante tu estancia, los precios en su bar son muy buenos, y la comida aunque al principio se te puede hacer cara cuando ves la preparación te das cuenta que usan ingredientes de calidad por lo que vale la pena, lo único malo es que en el cuarto compartido para 6 personas el acceso a la habitación puede ser demasiado fácil y eso te deja algo intranquilo, solo necesitan reparar bien las puertas corredizas que dan al balcón
