Terrible experience at Heritage Inn Saskatoon — especially with the Operations Manager, April Vademoro.
I had been staying at Heritage Inn Saskatoon from May 20, 2025, with a reservation until June 14, 2025. The purpose of our extended stay was because my wife is pregnant, with a due date of June 4, 2025. As of June 9, we were still waiting for the birth of our baby — a very sensitive and stressful time for our family.
During breakfast on June 9, I found a hair in my food. I was polite about it, simply informing the staff so they could be more careful. I also asked for 6 coffee cups, as they are supposed to be provided daily, but was told I would have to pay for them — which was unreasonable given our booking.
When I asked to speak with the manager, April Vademoro arrived. Instead of addressing my concerns professionally, she told me, "You don’t have to stay — you can check out today," knowing that my pregnant wife was 5 days overdue.
We were effectively pushed out of the hotel at a very critical time and had to find emergency accommodation elsewhere. This was incredibly stressful and humiliating, especially coming from a hotel manager.
Overall, this was the worst service I have experienced in any hotel. I would strongly caution others — especially families and those needing a supportive, professional environment — to think twice before staying here.
