Welcome to CraftSmith Cottage on Charlton, a charming freestanding cottage in Savannah's historic district. Exceptionally quiet, this freestanding private cottage offers many cozy indoor and outdoor nooks to relax while “living like a local.” Enjoy a glass of lemonade on the front porch overlooking a sweet garden of camellia and azalea. Or, dine al fresco in the airy screened porch, which opens to a paved backyard patio and garden.

Comfortable, serene space

Recently updated and furnished, the cottage offers serenity in the living room with its stylish, comfortable chairs and couch, Smart TV, local art, and heritage tables made of reclaimed wood. Twin beds in the guest room and a queen bed in the primary suite offer brand-new pillowtop comfort. Beautiful wood floors gleam throughout the home, and sunlight streams through three sides of historic windows in the living room. Vaulted ceilings help the 820-square-foot gem “live large.” A modern galley kitchen includes granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. A front-loading washer and dryer are in the spacious dressing area between the primary bedroom and light-filled master bath. The hall bathroom lies across from the guest bedroom and features a pedestal sink and full bath/shower.

Unprecedented in downtown Savannah, the CraftSmith Cottage boasts two private parking spots behind the cottage, even though you'll probably find yourself walking everywhere. You're just a few blocks away from author Flannery O'Connor's childhood home, Colonial Cemetery, and the historic St. John the Baptist Cathedral. A leisurely stroll through the leafy squares of Savannah will bring you to a bountiful array of coffee shops, restaurants, and boutiques. Return home to the CraftSmith Cottage for elegant comfort and artful style.

Southern Belle Pool
Our guests have access to our beautiful, heated pool that is located at 19 Silver Ave, Tybee Island, GA 31328. For our Savannah properties it is a scenic 25-minute drive through Wilmington and Whitemarsh Island, taking you over the Savannah River Delta onto Tybee Island.
The Pool is open during the below dates and times.

March 1 - Oct 31: Open 7 days a week from 10am-5pm.
Nov 1 - Feb 28/29: Open Friday and Saturday from 10am-5pm

Additional Pool Hours available during the off-season are listed below. If these dates fall in the middle of the week, the pool will be open as listed below and every Friday and Saturday.

Guests with Pets
This property is not pet-friendly. If you're traveling with a dog, ask us about our pet-friendly properties that accommodate up to 2 dogs (50 lb combined weight max) for a $130 pet fee.

Long-Term Stays
For our long-term stays, 30 days or more, we require a deposit and our office will reach out to you for details. For these reservations, we require an additional cleaning at a cost every 30 days. The cleaning cost varies by property. Our office will be in touch to schedule.
