This property is so nicely done. Everything is available to you from dishes, spices, coffee maker, washer and dryer. We had all the comforts of home!!! We enjoyed are stay very much!!!
2nd time staying at this home. Location is excellent and Close to everything. Beds are comfortable, and the space is roomy. It does lack some of the basic essentials, some coffee would have been nice, but otherwise an overall excellent stay. We would choose this home again and recommend it.
Best location I have stayed in. The house was clean, well equipped, comfortable beds and furnishing, and my dogs loved the courtyard. The five nights I stayed at Lavender on Perry, I only drove my car once to go to Tybee. The house is walkable to everything Savannah has to offer. The parking is pretty tight, but some skilled maneuvering of the steering wheel and it comfortably fit my SUV. I am definitely making this my new go-to spot whenever I visit Savannah.
My daughter and I had a wonderful stay. Tidy with all essentials provided. Quiet neighborhood. No parking in back available for our entire stay, front was a bit limited. Wish there were assigned spots for each rental.
The place was great. However we were there for a week and it would have been nice to have more than one dish towel and more than one hand towel per bathroom. Also there were a couple of bikes covered on the patio and we didn’t know if those were for guests use or what. Otherwise, the place was perfect for a week trip and a great location to walk everywhere.
We had a great stay at Lavender on Perry! The house was perfect for two couples and the beds were so comfy! House was very clean. Our only complain was regarding the parking pass. The instructions on the guide inside the home and online slightly varied, and we had to get confirmation where to park when we arrived.
The house was great. Very clean and comfortable.
Location was close to everything, you can walk everywhere.
Parking is terrible, there is a spot in the back but unless you have a small compact car, you cannot park there. You will have to pay to park on the street.
Kitchen was well stocked, nice towels, hot water was scarce but over all great place.
We are coming back to visit again and would definitely stay here again!
If you are going to Savannah and staying in home in the historic district you need to go in with the expectation that its....well, its old. Stairs will creak, floors are uneven, space is at a premium but all of that is what makes Savannah and Lavender on Perry so perfect. Walking distance to ANYWHERE. Right around the corner from Colonial Cemetery which was a great place to walk the dogs. Outside courtyard was an awesome place for coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening. Would definitely stay there on a future trip.
My BFF from college and I decided to celebrate our 50 years of friendship in Savannah for a few days. We had a wonderful time! Lavender on Perry was the perfect spot for two old friends to connect, relax and enjoy life, see some Savannah sites, and enjoy some of the best food found anywhere. There was a minor issue with bathroom lighting that management quickly fixed for us! My friend and I highly recommend Lavender on Perry to anyone looking for a clean and safe Savannah home that is within walking distance of all that historic Savannah has to offer.
We enjoyed our stay in the management company was very easy to communicate with. The property is 172 years old according to the records I found online. It has been remodeled and has a lot of Southern charm. I found the bedding quite firm and the air conditioning somewhat difficult to keep up with the 90° temperatures in the upstairs portion where the bedrooms are. I think we'll opt for a newer property next time we come to Savannah, however it was good for our stay. I have to also say that the amount of additional fees tacked on by VRBO and the owners are bordering on ridiculous. The advertised price per night is about half of what you end up paying after all of the fees are added on.
We loved that the neighborhood was quiet. The stairwell steps inside the townhouse are narrow, but we just remembered to go slow and careful. The tub is low, so that helps getting in and out when showering. We didn't bring our dogs but the back yard was inviting if you have a pet to bring. The parking was a little tricky, but we came in on a Sunday when parking on street was free. Then we got up early enough to move the car to the back lot. We didn't drive that much. We walked A LOT! There is a great pizza place, sushi and an asian fusion restaurants close by. There's also a small square park nearby. On some of the evenings late, I could hear a horse clomping down the street. So, I could think of what people heard in the 1800's! Great visit to Savannah!

Great House, Faulty Lock
The home itself met all our needs and was very comfortable. Having the AC on when we arrived was a real plus, as it was a very hot day. The neighborhood is lovely, and everything we wanted to see and do (and eat) was all walkable in about half an hour at most. However, the front door lock needs a locksmith's attention. We were completely unable to get into the house on arrival, and I was unable to reach the rental company. Luckily, it happened that one of their staff was on the street and noticed us sweating and groaning on the steps. She, too, was unable to open the door with the key code, but she had a master key and let us in. The immediate issue was that the batteries on the lock were dead, so she replaced them. But we struggled with opening the door every time we went out - the wood on the door seemed to have expanded in the humidity, and the bolt never slid in easily. It needs fixing!
The rental is pretty much exactly as advertised, and the pictures do it justice. Communication was prompt and thorough. It is clean and comfortable and very cute from the outside. I enjoyed being a few steps from Crawford Square and spent more time than planned lazing about there reading or people watching.I appreciated having the coded door entry so I didn't need to worry about losing a key and it was unexpectedly easy to commit the code to memory. The beds and bedding are nice. Everything works great from TVs to refrigerators to showers, etc. The upstairs TVs are a little painful to get going as you need to register an Amazon account just to connect to wifi and then you have to register whatever streamer you want. Just remember to disconnect your services. The sink in the upstairs bathroom is kind of short but not a big deal. The downstairs bathroom is hilarious but a great use of space under the stairs and much easier than going upstairs. To that point, if you have mobility issues, this might not be a great rental for you as the stairs to the upstairs bedroom are quite steep. I know some others were squeezed out at times, but parking worked out for us. It is a small lot and not everyone parks efficiently so be thoughtful. There was ample street parking if needed though. I did see tickets issued on Perry so make sure you keep current on paying for the spot. The rental location is good but kind of on one of the further edges of the historic district. Everything is still r
The location was ideal, we were walking distance to most everything that interested us. Parking was no problem and the parking lot behind was nice to have available. My issues were - first, within 10 minutes of our arrival someone was knocking on the door; he was a maintenance man that needed to fix two things. He himself was very friendly and respectful, he was just doing his job so no complaints about him, however we received no heads up that someone was coming to address fixes which was a bit of an inconvenience. Also it states check out is by 10am and check in is 4pm so that's six hours to clean and ready this place. When we arrived the carpets on the steps were soaking wet, the dishes when I pulled some plates out had water sitting on them with no obvious attempts to even try and dry them off. Under the one bed we found trash from a previous stay, clearly not a great attention to detail. We were left with three hand soap dispensers, all of which were practically empty, and the one had a pump top that was broken and should have been thrown away because you could easily have cut your hand. Needless to say, we didn't let our kid use it. We asked about more soap and were told their are bars, we found them in the cabinet and they looked about two years old they were dry and crusty. There was not even one single tide pod to wash the towels to have for use again, they said because of allergies but honestly I think it's about being as cheap as possible.
This adorable Lavender home was very clean and provided all the amenities we were looking for. Two bedrooms, TVs in both. Internet was flawless, we didn't have any issues with streaming our devices. Bathroom upstairs and down. Plenty of cookware/utensils in the kitchen. Nice fridge with ice machine & filtered water. Comfy beds with plenty of pillows. Very quiet/nice neighborhood for walking the dogs. Stairs were a bit steep, but understandable with the historical structure. Had nice rugs on the steps to help prevent slipping. We traveled with our 2 small dogs and I was worried about them falling down the stairs, but they managed quite well. The patio in back was nice but wish I had more grassy area for dogs to "go". Parking was a bit difficult in free lot behind the home. It is a very small lot with limited space and trying to park our Ford F-150 was quite challenging. Barbeque is a small charcoal grill. We would have appreciated a gas grill. Those are the minor things we didn't like but the home itself overall provided so many good amenities, the things we didn't like seemed small in comparison. We walked to trolley stop and can also walk to town if you want. Management very responsive although we had no issues during our stay. We would definitely consider staying here again but would most likely pay for street parking. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
