"This Super 8 is more of a hotel rather than motel. Very clean, staff is friendly, and breakfast was excellent, you can make your own pancakes or waffles, and they offer a variety of bread, cereals, yogurt , or hard boiled eggs. The pool area is small but clean; I enjoyed the hot tub. It's not far from Bayfield ferry station, which took us to Madeline Island."
"Beautiful historic building in a beautiful setting on the south shore of Lake Superior. Walking trail along the shoreline runs right behind the hotel. Clean, quiet, and comfortable. What more can you ask?"

I was surprised it was not busier for a Saturday night but most likely not the ideal time to be touring for most people prior to the snow-sports and after fall colors. The property was easy to find and I appreciated a simple key versus electronic swipe cards so I could leave door unlocked for loading/unloading.
