Cottage With Sea Views

Sea View Cottage is a charming, cosy former fisherman’s home, perfectly positioned in the heart of Scarborough between the two bays. Dating back to the 1850s, it’s full of character and traditional charm. From the cottage, it’s just a ten-minute stroll to the award-winning sandy beaches and promenade, or to the lively town centre. The upstairs bedroom boasts spectacular sea views, reminding you just how close you are to the beautiful seafront.
Recently refurbished, the cottage blends its original features with modern comforts, stylish décor, and thoughtful touches throughout. It’s an ideal base for couples and families exploring this stunning stretch of the Yorkshire Coast, and a wonderful haven for walkers and cyclists, with scenic cliff-top paths and cycle routes nearby.
Inside, the accommodation includes an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with an electric fire, HD/Freeview TV with built-in DVD player, electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, slimline dishwasher, and a washing machine located in the outhouse. The bathroom offers both a walk-in electric shower and a bath with a mixer tap. The second-floor bedroom can be set up as either a super-king or twin beds to suit your needs. WiFi is also available.
Scarborough has everything you need for a memorable holiday. Enjoy a family day out at the Sea Life Centre, hop aboard a pleasure cruise, speedboat, or fishing trip, or explore the historic Scarborough Castle just a few hundred yards away. The renowned open-air theatre — the largest in Europe — hosts fantastic events throughout the year. There’s plenty for all ages, from Alpamare’s indoor/outdoor waterpark to golf, fishing, indoor go-karting, bowling, cinemas, and more.
A short drive brings you to the historic town of Whitby, where you can catch the North Yorkshire Moors steam train for a spectacular journey through the Esk Valley to Goathland and Pickering. Other nearby coastal gems such as Robin Hood’s Bay, Sandsend, Staithes, and Runswick Bay are also well worth visiting.
You can even enjoy a day trip to York — a beautiful city filled with history, museums, excellent restaurants, and wonderful shopping opportunities

Pleasant and quiet neighborhood

Basic accommodation, ie. one roll f toilet paper. Everything we needed, but “tired” and could do with new mattress, slip covers on old furniture, lighter paint, brighter light bulbs. Renters should be prepared for a challenging walk. Very friendly, helpful neighbour. Put out maps of town and suggestions for food, transportation, places to see. Wanted to communicate with owner, requested through VRBO early, but she only replied within hours of checkin. Felt she didn’t really care about our stay. I would never treat a guest with such little care.

A smashing place

wild and windy in an exciting spot. We had a drama on the street when a lady further up was evacuated through an upstairs window and we had other things happen in the town, (all good stuff). Via Whats App we watched family converging on Scarborough from all parts of the country for the 70th birthday. So all in all it couldn't have been a better stay. Thank you.

Cottage was perfect for a little family like ours. Great location close to the beach & food places we also found a little wooden park 5minutes round the corner that was brilliant for the kids to have a run round. Pleasant accommodation

A very nice property, in handy location. Great and rapid response from the host, Andrea on small issues around heating. Kitchen well equipped. A good size of the bathroom, which was clean. Towels were very soft , so big plus for me!! Area very quiet. The house is one of the tall ones so something to bear in mind when coming with small kids as the stairs are slightly steep so no running around :) I can imagine the parking could be an issue as there is not much space on the street but we never experienced this. Thank you!

Beautiful, clean, homely cottage

The property was spotlessly clean and the bedrooms were lovely, as were the living areas downstairs. The bathroom was very spacious and modern. We really enjoyed our stay. The only slight issue we had was trying to find somewhere to park. We never did manage to park near the cottage, so we used a local car park instead. The location of the cottage was great. It was an easy walk to the beach and the shops and the views from upstairs were great.

Cannot recommend this property enough for a holiday in Scarborough. It’s location provides easy access to North or South Bay both only a 5 minute stroll away. The cottage is warm, cosy, clean, fully equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Thank you Andrea we had a great stay x

4 night summer holiday break

Wonderful cottage and it was exactly as listed. Great for our little family as close to the beaches and the town - we didn’t need to use the car while there as everything was within walking distance. Short break

my daughter and I travelled from Lincoln to Scarborough. The cottage was beautifully decorated enough space for us and two dogs. We were in the middle of two fabulous beaches and a 10 minute walk to town centre. Cottage had everything we needed, the owner responded immediately to any queries. We were given a parking permit for the length of our stay. Just one point comfy outdoor seating would have been an added bonus. Would certainly return, great trip.
