The staff were lovely and welcoming . The room was comfortable clean and well laid out.There were plenty of toiletries and the tea and coffee supplies were generous,which we appreciated on a cold and wet December day. The cafe was warm and inviting, staff were friendly. The breakfast roll was hearty ,delicious and well presented We had a really lovely stay and would recommend

Me and my wife really enjoyed our stay here. Staff are very friendly and helpful and our room was immaculate and very comfortable. Breakfast is cooked fresh and was tasty even catered for my gluten free wife! Would recommend and will definitely stay again

Nice place, would stay again. Breakfast is awesome. Most of the staff are friendly, bathroom was clean, staircases are clean, modern furnishings. Owner was lovely. Only downside was that the beds were quite uncomfortable and it was roasting hot, even with the radiators off and the window open. But good value for what we paid.

Hidden gem on south cliff

My 2nd stay at this location and certainly not my last. The rooms are fantastic, the location is good, parking is nearby. Despite it being closed season, most local amenities were still operating

I cannot fault this small, friendly hotel - it was very clean, excellent size room, breakfast very good . Claire and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Located right above South beach with lovely views just a couple of minutes walk away. Excellent stay for 3 nights.

Situated in a great location, walkable to cliff trams and beachfront, grocery and shopping mall. Loved the little cafe downstairs, very convenient for breakfast. Staff very friendly. Great stay

We had a one night stop over. Staff friendly and welcoming. Room very clean, bed comfortable. In a quiet place. Plenty of tea and coffee. We were given a parking permit which was a nice touch. Arrived late afternoon took a walk down to the esplanade which was lovely lit up.

The room was clean and plenty of towels, tea coffee biscuits etc. My only concern was the VERY low ceiling height at one side due to the eves of the building! Very dangerous, bumped my head , but would be a lot worse for someone elderly or frail? In addition we were woken at around 6.30 with beer bottle collection, then 7.30 when they decided to rip the road up!

Clean and cosy.

From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed. Lovely staff, very cosy and clean, just on the peripheral of Scarborough town, and easily within walking distance of 4 60 somethings. Breakfast was excellent, with a range of items to suit all tastes. Will definitely be back. Thank you.

Great value and excellent breakfast

This is a well maintained bed and breakfast which has recently been redecorated throughout and feels fresh and clean. The breakfast was excellent. A great choice including Eggs Benedict, smashed avocado, pancakes, full English and vegan options. The poached eggs and hollandaise sauce were perfect, better than many four star hotels I have stayed in. Handwash and shower gel were in eco-friendly refillable dispensers, although we did have to get our handwash refilled on arrival and it did leak on the floor. Also had to go downstairs to find the WiFi code as it was not in the room information. These are tiny niggles, on the whole the stay was great. Staff were friendly and helpful, the WiFi worked very well and the bed was comfortable. Our room (no 2) had plenty of space and was excellent value for money. Highly recommend.
