The Space:

This home welcomes 1 dog -- the yard and nearby trails are ready for your pup. Driveway parking is available at the property. Detailed check-in instructions, including the door code, will be provided prior to your arrival. As a guest, you also have access to Sea Ranch community amenities including the pools, tennis courts, and miles of trails. A recreation pass will be provided.



The Neighborhood:

Nestled in a cluster of homes near the Bluff Trail, this tranquil escape offers a great location just a three-minute walk from Shell Beach, and an equally short walk to Tidepool Beach’s seal rookery. Stock up in Gualala, just 10 minutes north, where you'll find grocery stores, restaurants, a hardware store, and gas. Bodega Bay is a beautiful drive for fresh seafood. Sea Ranch Golf Links is a short drive south, and guests of this home play there at member rates.



Getting Around:

If you don't feel like cooking during your stay, stop by Trinks Cafe on a Wednesday or Friday for one of their dinner nights, or keep heading north on Highway 1 to St. Day trips can include Mendocino about 55 miles north or spend the day closer to home and wine tasting just up Annapolis Road off Highway 1. Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS) in Santa Rosa is the nearest airport, about 1.5 hours east. A car is essential for exploring the area.



Other Things to Note:

Sea Ranch has three recreation centers with heated pools, saunas, and tennis courts. Access passes are provided with your stay -- check availability upon arrival as these shared amenities can be popular during peak times.



Exterior lighting is minimal by design to preserve the stunning dark sky -- bring a flashlight for evening walks and enjoy some of the best stargazing on the California coast.



Whale watching season runs from December through April -- grab the binoculars and watch for gray whale spouts from your window. Spring (April-June) brings a wildflower show across the coastal meadows -- lupine, poppies, and iris paint the landscape. Summer (June-September) brings the warmest days and longest light. Morning fog is common along the coast -- it usually burns off by midday.



You're welcome to bring one dog (up to 50 lbs.). Please keep your dog on a leash while using the trails and clean up after them.



Cell service can be spotty along the coast. The home has WiFi for staying connected. This home is on the inland side of the street, not directly on the ocean or bluff side.
