Northlake is a neighborhood in Seattle, Washington, that consists of the southern part of Wallingford, below N 40th Street. It is so named for being on the northern shore of Lake Union. Landmarks include the Northlake Shipyard, Gas Works Park, the Wallingford Steps art installation, and Ivar's Salmon House. Circa 1900, the eastern part of Northlake was known as Latona, and the John Stanford International School building was formerly the Latona School.[1] Nowadays, the name Latona is likely to refer to anywhere along Latona Ave. NE from Northlake north to NE 65th St. near Green Lake.

Northlake's main thoroughfares are N 34th Street (east- and westbound), N Northlake Way and N Pacific Street (northeast- and southwest-bound), and Wallingford Avenue N and Stone Way N (north- and southbound).

The place is in a good spot and parking is very close. A couple small mishaps like a leaky shower curtain, no plunger for the toilet, nothing that affected the quality of our stay too much. Main concern is that the host didn't respond to my last message and never sent any checking out instructions. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Good stay

The good - clean, lighting provided, beautifly furnished basement suite. Just a short walk down to the water, 9 min drive to city centre. Beds were comfy and had most everything you'd need. Not so good - no check-in or check-out instructions were provided and host was hard to contact when a quick response was needed. It's a basement...dark and damp as expected.Spent most of our time touring the city, worked well for our needs :)

Overall, the place was nice and clean. Everything I needed was there. The place was close to everything you would want to visit with a car. And the university was a quick walk on a path close by. Host could have been more communicative, as I had to ask for the check in the day of and had unclear check out instructions. Also, the actual apartment door was difficult to find the first time around. There should be more clear instructions about that.

Needs updating

It fit our needs location wise but a bit run down. Not terribly comfortable. There is a door to the laundry room but it was locked. Laundry room was disgusting. Was locked out for a few hours because the door code didn't work. Near Impossible to get ahold of the owner. There were no instructions in the house for anything. Nice neighbors and like I said decent location.
