We had booked a pool view room starting Saturday but, due to flight issues, we could only arrive on Sunday. Upon arrival, we were informed that our room was not ready. After some waiting, we were given a room and told it was an upgrade. Unfortunately, the experience was far from what we expected.
The room appeared unprepared and unwelcoming—there was even a welcome note addressed to someone else, and amenities were incomplete. The bathtub had drainage issues, the door to the balcony wouldn’t close properly, and the towels were extremely worn out.
For a first-time visit to Bali, this was a very disappointing start. The service and room standards did not meet the expectations set by the booking or the hotel’s reputation.
