Loved the hotel staff are brilliant and rooms are always nice but the major issue is the street outside hotel ..the hassle you get trying to walk down the road is like nothing I have experienced before ..many other guests say they same ..that put us off the hotel for our trip next time..but apart from that a amazing hotel

Great ambience and scenic beach. Swimming was amazing too. Good food variety. However, they need to genuinely improve conditions of the rooms. Dusty and washrooms were not great. The lawns were not mowed and appeared bushy with insects. Reception also needs to do better and be more professionally organized.

It was a beautiful area very relaxing. I enjoyed having the cats, dogs, and lizards as part of our stay. We had a mix up at check in and so it started out a little hectic and there was a power issue so that limited things otherwise it was well worth it

Great trip

Staff were wonderful, rooms comfortable and lovely shower. Room was spotless thanks to Awa S, who was so gentle and kind, and had a lovely conversation with everyday. A real credit it to the hotel. Food could be slightly better as limited choice but is decent. Beach and pool were fab

Unfortunately I did not get the opportunity stay at Kombo Beach Resort. I revieved a whatsapp meesage 2 days prior to travelling there for my Christmas family holiday informing me that due to new furniture being delivered to C block (where I would have being staying) I and a few other guests due to stay unfortunately have to be relocated to another hotel. My allocated hotel was Ocean Bay. I would fully reccommend it. The staff were extremely friendly and polite. I could not fault the service recieved. I will definately be returing to Ocean Bay next year. I've now been put off staying at Kombo Beach due to my bad experiance.

Great hotel, lovely staff.

The hotel was lovely, rooms are newly refurbished and are clean. Beds are comfy and are made up beautifully each day. The beach is nice and right on the hotel front, the security makes it feel very safe to relax on. The only thing I would say is there is always a lot of sellers from the markets who come up to you on the beach constantly. The food was good, especially the Sunday bbq. The staff are also super friendly and helpful and just want you to have the best possible stay. The management however were not as friendly and seemed to just walk around the resort only saying hello and speaking to people who were “deluxe” guests. The only problem we had was they originally booked us down as B&B when we had paid for all inclusive so we had an embarrassing confrontation with the bar staff when they told us we couldn’t have drinks or lunch !! But this was very quickly rectified luckily.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would come back again. Some things could be improved like getting clean towels more regularly, having the traditional food available everyday, and making the beach a little more private but other than that I have no real complaints.

We had a wonderful stay at Kombo Beach Resort! The views are absolutely stunning, waking up to the ocean just steps away was such a dream. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. Special thanks for offering to extend our checkout time when our flight got delayed. The food does take a little while to come out, but it's totally worth the wait. Everything we tried was fresh and flavorful. Breakfast was a standout too, different options to start the day right. Overall, a lovely and relaxing spot. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting The Gambia!

A 5-star hotel with a 2-star overbooking issue. (Note: many guests were faced with the same problem we had.) We arrived at Kombo Beach Hotel at 2 am on a Saturday night with our two children, tired from the late night flight, but eagerly awaiting the superior room we booked for a week's stay months in advance, only to be told that there was no room for us. Imagine, landing in a new country in the middle of the night, to be told that the room you paid for was not available and that there were NO OTHER ROOMS IN THE HOTEL FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!!! The front desk staff then explained to us that they would put us in a neighbouring hotel overnight and that we could speak to the manager the next day at 10 am. We were not satisfied with this but had no choice as we were effectively homeless and so we relunctantly took this option. After walking a few meters down the road to a neighbouring hotel, arrangements were made, and we were checked in and lead to the room in this new hotel. Imagine our surprise that, after booking a superior room at Kombo Beach, the room were put in to stay had no wifi, no TV, full of mosquitoes and a rickety bunk bed that my children could not even safely sleep in!!! We coped over night thanks to our resilience and mosquito spray and went back the next day to speak the manager, who then told us to come back later on in the day. This unfortunately did not change anything as apparently the room we had booked was given to someone else.

The staff is TERRIBLE. They don't know what is all inclusive. It's to much to explain how terrible my experience was! I arrived at 9:30 PM because i was waiting 6 hours for ferry and I paid for all inclusive. They send me to a restaurant area where I supposed to pay, and they put me menu on the table to order. After that I asked why should I pay because I am all inclusive, and they told me that all inclusive it's closed, but in the same time to pay a la carte was open. After 30 minutes arguing about this ireal situation , the gave me and my group a miserable tuna burger. Remember this word: MISERABLE. I didn't eat and I was going outside of the "resort" paying for taxi, searching for a restaurant to finally eat something. I was back at 2:00AM. So I need 4 hours to eat, pay for my food for me and my group, pay for taxi and go to bed in this "all inclusive". Everything is made for pictures, especially the pool outside, to "look good" for selling. Inside is TERRIBLE. Alarms starting for no reasons couple times a day, everything are poor quality. If you are looking for all inclusive resort experience, AVOID THIS FAKE RESORT.

Formidable spot, agencement piscine plage restaurant magnifique.

All inclusive omfattede lokale sodavand, men flaskevand kostede ekstra.
