"Very comfortable and unique hotel. Elegant, but not snobby. Staff was very courteous and professional. It was a little confusing navigating the parking with a heavy traffic from the Snow Sculpture Festival, I was very glad I’d read the instructions closely enough to have a basic idea where I was going - it would be okay if it was explained in even a bit more detail. Very clean. My son and I are both very sensitive to smells and scented cleaning projects and this was one of few places I’ve stayed that it really had almost no scent. Very impressive for an historic hotel! A couple maintenance things that I’m not sure they knew about up in the family suite (soft spot on the bathroom floor was the most concerning), but they were appreciative when I mentioned it at checkout, so hopefully that is something that will be resolved. I’d highly recommend sitting in the lounge and spending a bit of time browsing the book with the hotel story!"

"I should of spent a few more dollar at one of the other hotels in the area. Everything in this place is old like the 80s, or 90s they haven't put any money into maintaining the up keep. The linings to the carpet and bed probably the original from when it open. The window in our room wasn't able to close all the way. The parking lot wasn't plowed. I was scared to go in the pool and hot tub due to the look of the entire hotel. Will never stay there again."
