If you’re booking this place for an amazing room with an amazing view and a bath tub by the window you will not be disappointed. If you are booking this for the pool area, don’t get your hopes up, it feels more like a public bath house than a luxury hotel pool, similar feel with the spa. The overall hotel and rooms are nice, I just felt like they needed a deep clean and a bit of TLC, grouting etc. light switches and AC seemed to have a mind of their own and didn’t always respond to pressing the light switches. I loved staying here, but that’s my constructive criticism. It misses a few of those tick boxes that take it upto being a world class hotel. More of an Instagram hotel that looks great for the pictures

Summer holidays to bring my girlfriend to Shanghai to play, live in Banyan Tree out of the door is the North Bund, very close and convenient, compared to the Bund, downtown. Olly at the front desk was enthusiastic and the other staff were great! The soaking pool room is worth recommending to friends!

Olly and Alisa at the front desk were very warm and friendly, and extremely polite. Due to the large variety of room types, the initial booking didn't meet expectations, but they later recommended a room type with a wonderful view! This trip to Shanghai was just amazing!

Upon check - in, OLLY provided enthusiastic and professional service. OLLY actively offered assistance and gave a detailed introduction of the hotel facilities. Alisa was very attentive to our needs to make sure we had a great stay. She welcomed us to the hotel and told us about the different amenities. We had a great time at Shanghai Banyan hotel! The view was amazing at the top and our room had an amazing view as well. The customer service here is top tier from the doorman at the front to the cleaning ladies. Everyone here was so welcoming and nice!

From the moment we stepped out of our Didi van, the staff were very welcoming and accommodating. They attended to our needs with patience and care. The breakfast buffet offers ample selections of Eastern and Western palates. The room is practically an aromatherapy session for the senses, offering a choice of aroma incense or aroma wax. The views of the Bund, day or night, were awesome. There are a couple of good shopping centers within walking distance and a jogging track if you feel like it. A perfect place to wind down and relax after all the hard work.

Hotel staff and service were excellent - warm, friendly and helpful. Special shout out to Michael & Alisha. The property is slightly dated but the location was great, central yet quiet. The rooftop bar offered a gorgeous view of the Bund.
