A small but cosy beamed converted barn, adjoining the owner’s 18th-century former farmhouse and greenhouse, standing in a peaceful and secluded garden. The property is a welcoming open plan studio space with everything you need to create a perfect base to explore the local area. The living, dining and bedroom are all traditionally decorated and blend seamlessly in the one room with the kitchen area being part of the same room but slightly elevated and accessed by 6 steep steps.
Situated on a no-through road on the edge of Pilton village, between the Mendips and Glastonbury, the countryside offers views of Glastonbury Tor and beyond. Within easy reach are Wells Cathedral and Bishop’s Palace, Bath, Bristol, Cheddar Gorge and Caves, Wookey Hole, Glastonbury and Street with Clarks Village (retail factory outlets). Also possible are day trips to Somerset or Dorset coasts, nearby historic houses such as Montacute, Stourhead and Longleat, famous for its Safari Park. A perfect holiday base. Nearest shops at Shepton Mallet 1½ miles, village PO and pub ½ mile.
