"The location is okay, however the hotel is old and in very bad condition. The room they gave me at first had a huge window in the bathroom and no shades, also the curtain shower did not close properly and there was a ball of hair in the corner of the bathroom floor: nasty, horrible, disgusting, unacceptable. I complained and they gave me another room which was better but still bad. Breakfast was poor. I do not recommend this hotel. "

"Our stay at the hotel was very nice, room was comfortable and the staff extremely pleasant. we did make a comment re our evening meal but hear no more about it (lasagne was dry) i have attempted to make contact with the hotel by phone since our stay on the 14th February but no one seems to pick up phone calls. my query is regarding the addition of VAT added to our bill food and drinks. i did not see any evidence of VAT included or to be added to our bill. my hotel receipt shows at the foot of the bill that "this is not a VAT invoice but your VAT number is included in your footer. is this an error on your part or have i missed this. "What an amazing find…a beautifully maintained hotel in the heart of one Scotland’s most beautiful places. The rooms are a good size but the attraction is that they are exquisitely decorated and well-equipped. There are no staff on the premises but the rooms are serviced each day and the amazing variety of breakfast ingredients (including locally-sourced smoked salmon and cheeses as well as granola, fresh rolls, croissants and preserves, juice etc.)"
