"Great cabin on the Dearborn River. Just remember the road does require a bit of clearance and a vehicle up to the conditions. Its definitely not a paved road but very manageable in a suv or truck with 4X4. It just adds to the adventure the place brings. It has all the things you want without the stresses of home. One of the prettiest settings in all of Montana!!"

"Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Trout Tales. Susan was a great host. The cabin had everything we needed and was generously stocked with paper products. The property is amazing. We spent hours just watching the wildlife. Although we only caught one fish, the river was peaceful and very floatable, especially if you shuttle your vehicle. We would definitely choose Trout Tales again!"

"This is a great place to stay - it has lots of amenities and lies right on the Dearborn River. It has not been renovated in quite a while, so it feels a bit dated. Make sure to bring soap, shampoo, TP and paper towels - they do not seem to have sufficient supplies. Love staying there - just be prepared."

"Wow. Just completed five days fly fishing out of Craig. Couldn’t have possibly found a better place to stay. Deck is 20 ft from a beautiful stretch of the river which offers excellent wade fishing at lower river flows. Fully equipped with hosts doing some nice extras like water in the fridge. Love the full size shuffle board game. Beds super comfortable. Amazing. We’ll be back! Big thank you to our hosts!"

"Overall, the cabin is very nice, well stocked, has a lot of "extras" to offer, and is spectacularly located. We very much enjoyed our stay there. And I would recommend it to others. However, there would be a definite, advanced warning of the 7-mile private road to access the cabin. In my opinion, it REQUIRES a high-clearance, 4WD vehicle. Not suggests or recommended, but requires. In our case, that's what we had and it only impacted our plans slightly. (We did alter our plans involving one of our guests driving there in a 2WD car.) This information should be provided to prospective visitors BEFORE the cabin is booked."
