The room and property were very clean. Peggy was very instrumental with directions around Sitka. The meal in the restaurant was big and very delicious. The staff was very friendly and patient with my order later in the evening and I didn’t feel rushed.
Staff was great and it was close walking distance to shops and food.
The lighting in the room wasn’t all that great and needs improvement; and television didn’t work in the room.
Basic lodging. Location was great but check in was almost an hour late as housekeeping was not done yet. Rooms and halls are hot with no ability to control air.

Our room was very noisy as there was a food cart outside the hotel that stayed open until 2 am. It was very loud and difficult to sleep even with the windows closed. There was no fan provided in our room to potentially block the noise a bit, our friends that stayed in another room did have a fan. I would not recommend this hotel. The restaurant was great.

There was not a bar. The kitchen needed a frying pan and coffee pods. And pillows were hard. The staff was great. Beautiful place just a few issues.
The room and everything else was fine, however, my check in, he was rude, and that was the first time I've experienced a terrible check in on this hotel, and even my check out, another front desk agent, he was rude too. But my other stays, the check in and check out personnel were awesome.
Great location, friendly staff but the building maintenance is below par. The TV did not work, some of the electric plugs did not work, there was no hot water in the morning one day.

Room was not readyat time 15:00, bed not comfortable and room smell not so fresh but I understand it’s an old hotel
The hotel in general was pretty good. Everything worked and was clean. The only issue was check-in. The guy that checked us in was very strange. He spoke super super minimally. When we went to our room it wasn't the type of room we paid an upgrade for. So we went back down and he says "your room isn't ready". He did not check with anyone. Since we complained he went and checked with cleaning staff. The room was indeed ready. This could have been handled many ways all of which start and end with communication. His lack of communication created more work for him and inconvenienced us.
The property was old so you could hear people walking up and down the halls and in the room above you. But it was clean and the staff was helpful and the restaurant was very good.
