The Calvert Maritime Museum has been blessed with hundreds of donations of pieces of history from the Calvert Cliffs where layers and layers of fossils have been preserved from the time the US was mainly under water through the present day. There is a COMPLETE lighthouse and dozens of working boats from hundreds of years ago. There are wildlife you can examine closely, including some river otter pups who cavort and carry on in front of windows you can watch them through. Fascinating place!
