"The house is in the middle of nowhere, or at least very rural. It gives a lot of privacy for guests, but just know that there are bugs due to the remote area. The host was pretty up front about that, though. That said, we got a lot of value for the cost of the house and we would definitely stay here again. Nathan was prompt with responding to any queries, and it is not too far away from the OBX, less than an hour. Thank you for such a wonderful new experience in NC."

"This property was amazing!! The location is perfect, but most important to us is the cleanliness of the home. It was spotless. All amenities were there, including cookies as a welcome. The beds were comfortable, appliances were like new, kitchen was stocked with all utensils and cooking pans anyone would need - you could prepare a Thanksgiving feast! Cannot say enough good things about this property. 10 out of 10!"

"This property is a hidden gem. We used it as our base for a short trip to OBX. Columbia is a peaceful town with a lovely boardwalk along the Scuppernong River and this home is located within walking distance of the small main street and boardwalk. Coming from the triangle area, it was nice to have a shorter drive to get to our accommodations coming down and to be ahead of the OBX return traffic coming home. Plus, it's so much more affordable than staying right on the coast. The house itself was great for our family. There is a small loft area with a bean bag chair (which isn't pictured clearly in the photos) and it was a big hit with my teen. He'd climb the ladder and have a bit of privacy at the end of the day to chat with friends. If we decide to vacation in the area again, we'd definitely book it again."
