This is a beautiful hotel and the "beach" area is fantastic. The staff are all very helpful and kind the food is great. We really enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend it.

The hotel was absolutely amazing! The breakfast was excellent, the views were breathtaking, and the private beach club was excellent. The property is also well located and walking distance to Sorrento historic center where all the restaurants and shops are located. Highly recommend this hotel!

Absolutely wonderful and attentive staff! Fabulous location and stunning views!! Wonderful hot breakfast that included an omelet station. Lovely beach club and the rooms are well appointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! They even delivered a breakfast bag the night before we had to leave at 5:15 am for the airport. Amazing hotel and staff! It is about a 10-12 min walk to the town square, Piazza Tasso. It’s a nice walk past other lovely hotels in a safe area. If you prefer taxi it’s a $25 taxi to town square but most all guests walk in this area. The Marina is also close by for ferry access to other towns and Capri - you can walk but it’s down and uphill so we took a taxi when going to then Marina which is $25-$30 depending on the driver. Yes taxis are expensive in Sorrento. We paid $225 to get to the Naples airport but we absolutely loved our stay and time in Sorrento so much so that we extended 4 nights and canceled our Positano stay. Great location and hotel!

Grand Hotel Riviera is a five star hotel. The location is beautiful - just on the water in a quiet part of Sorrento, surrounded by open skies and lush trees. Service was top - as everyone from desk concierge to cleaning and restaurant service were friendly, helpful and accomodating. Breakfast in the lounge daily was heaven overlooking the sea! Swimming and sunning at the beach club was delicious. The room was clean, comfortable and convenient. Would definitely return, miss it already!!

The hotel was ideally situated, with beautiful views of the Bay of Naples.It was within easy reach of the town with all the amenities Sorrento offers. The hotel was very well run, domestic staff did an excellent job of keeping our room clean, and reception staff were knowledgeable and organised and couldn’t have been more helpful. All in all, we loved the Riviera.Breakfast staff were also unsurpassed, particularly Teresa, who made our experience extra special, by her attentiveness, and lovely smile.Tall man cooking omelettes was also fabulous!

Place is close to town. It has amazing views. Food at the hotel is very expensive and bartender was not very friendly. But overall it’s a good place and I would recommend it.

Service and amazing resort!

This property was impeccable. Every part of this resort sparkled! The staff was friendly and professional. This property was breath taking. The breakfast was delicious and elegantly presented! Dinner on the terrace was incredible. The staff was always offering a warm greeting and outstanding customer service. We were traveling with a teenager. I would not hesitate to reccomend this hotel. It is a resort where you can create wonderful memories. It was a dream come true!

The staff at Blu was exceptional. Giuseppe and Mario are truly five star staff. Traveling companions had an issue with the manager as they had to cut their stay short and she was unwilling to come out of her office to even discuss a refund or you a tab for the bar restaurant. Thankfully the rest of the staff understands customer service!

Lovely hotel overall: lovely clean room, BEAUTIFUL VIEWS, very walkable to restaurants, wonderful deck down on the private swimming cove with loungers and snack bar, helpful and friendly staff. The only reason for 4 stars not 5 is that the breakfast was not good. Maybe it's petty to take it down a whole star, but every other hotel we stayed at in Italy had either a great breakfast or an EXCELLENT breakfast (included with the room). Sadly, at Grand Hotel Riviera the cappuccinos were meh, pastries were just okay, juice had a weird plastic-y taste to it, all the fresh fruit was cold and not ripe, the chocolate cake was dry and stale-tasting. It was so disappointing cause we loved everything else about this place but bad breakfast is so easy to fix and would take this place to the next level.
