I have been returning to Velero Beach Resort multiple times over the past 20 years. The stay is always wonderful. The staff are exceptionally gracious and the location right on the water's edge is magnificent. Daily breakfast in the Sunset Grill is always a treat, only to be surpassed by watching sunset from the same location for dinner. I highly recommend the hotel and will definitely be back again.

I loved the location, and the look of the facility. The staff was very friendly, and helpful when they could be. However, all of the staff did not speak English; that was somewhat aggravating at times due to the language barrier. The food was delicious there.

I loved my stay at Velero! The view is spectacular, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean, peaceful, and comfortable. My original flight home ended up being delayed overnight, and I decided to call Velero to see if they could host me for another night. Not only were they able to give me a lovely room at the last minute, they arranged for a taxi to pick me up at the airport. The breakfasts were delicious, and I especially appreciated that Velero was within walking distance of the main part of the beach at Cabarete. I also appreciated the reliable wifi and A/C in the rooms. Thank you, Velero, for making my stay so enjoyable!

The rooms were clean, there was a little mold in the shower, which a little spray of bleach would solve in a few minutes. But the whole place was comfortable, super clean. The staff always super friendly, the grounds were an amazing. The food was great, the location was perfect. We will be back next year , all ready planning.

The room was very nice and had everything we needed. Full size fridge, stove, utensils. It was very clean and comfortable. The wifi was great although it didn’t extend outside of our room. Ocean view was nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful, not perfect English but definitely enough to get by.
