The property and grounds are beautiful. The rooms are fine, lots of fruit flies in bathrooms because the property is old and musty. The grounds are amazing though. The staff was simply not very friendly or helpful. They seemed to do what they had to but nothing extra. Like not brewing coffee until it is completely out. The one coffee maker in the lobby had one side not working. No half and half just gross pump vanilla creamer. Tea sitting out and opened rather than wrapped individually. Kind of gross.

Our first impression was a motel at best that was run down. Once in our room, dead mosquitoes everywhere as well as tones of live ones. Cobwebs in almost every corner. The only smoke detector was off its mounting and sitting on the mantle. The wi-fi that was available never had internet connection. There was a large puddle of water in one corner of our room.

There were little flying bugs in our bathroom & only one overhead light in the ceiling, but no other desk lamps for softer lighting. The pool did not look very clean & they no longer offer a light breakfast. The mattress was very stiff & uncomfortable & the pillows were lumpy. Otherwise, the facility itself has many updated features.

The property views are unlike any other! I could have stayed on the beach bluff forever! The pool was not really heated, the hot tub only some jets worked. The room outlet situation was somewhat problematic.not near the nightstand and by chance I had an extension cord. All of the phones had to be on one side of the bed. The bed itself was maybe a 6/10 in comfort. Everything was really clean and I really was so engulfed by the sheer beauty of the location that I was able to tolerate the mediocre room. Pool was refreshing, but not warm ☺️. You are definetly paying for location not so much actual sleeping arrangements.

Loved the swimming pool and the chairs out on the bank of the lake to watch the sunset. The room just looked old and the furniture was old and there was not enough light in the room, but it was clean and the bed was comfortable.

The property is in a great location, right on Lake Michigan. The sunset views are beautiful and truly breathtaking. There is also a nice small playground for children. Unfortunately, the room was very outdated. The description of the room we booked was also misleading and did not accurately reflect what we received. The amenities were disappointing as well. The gym was very dirty, the game room was disorganized, and there was algae growing on the walls of the pool. Overall, the location and views were outstanding, but the condition of the room and facilities fell well below our expectations for the price paid.

We booked through Expedia. The hotel and Expedia were not communicating, so when we arrived, we had to pay to upgrade our room (apparently, our selected room was not clean). The check in process was long and tedious. Printing out each form as you are standing there is time consuming especially when there are several customers waiting. As for the rooms, they are nice. I think they will regret buying gray linens, they will show wear and tear quickly. I was not pleased they removed the safety lock on the door, considering it is an outside door that seems unsafe to me. The pool and grounds were neatly maintained and very pretty.
