Lakeside Beachfront Rental in South Lake Tahoe


This two-story cabin has been in our family over 50 years. It is located in a private community right next to one of the largest resort/marina's in South Lake. Also, right next door, is Camp Richardson Resort and Marina.

The cabin is rustic in design. 5 bedrooms, 2 downstairs and 3 upstairs. 3 bathrooms, 2 downstairs and 1 upstairs. 1 large open living room and kitchen. We have a large lake side deck that is where most people spend the majority of their stay, overlooking the vast beauty of Lake Tahoe and having easy access to the water.

So much to do in Tahoe in both of our long seasons. We are located three minutes from an awesome sledding hill that mostly locals know about, eight minutes from Heavenly Ski Resort, ten minutes from state line, and 25-30 minutes from Tahoe City where the family can go white-water rafting in the summer. Within a walking distance you will find all manners of FUN.... physical activities to theatre and art shows. There is the famous Valhalla Estate available for weddings. Learn about the Indians and history of Tahoe in the various museum installations at the Three Historic Estates to the west.

This is a great, family-owned, rental cabin that wants to make our renters feel like family and keep coming back to beautiful South Lake Tahoe.

Great Family Vacation

We loved being in a private neighborhood right next to Camp Richardson. The waterfront deck was an ideal gathering spot for our family and the house itself was well maintained and stocked with everything we could need. Great communication and easy check in/ check out will definitely try to return for future stays

Great Location

We booked this home for a New Year’s get away with friends. Location was amazing, right on the water! We could see the New Years fireworks at Heavenly village. Rooms are small but living area was prefect for our group of 8.

Perfect for our trip

We had two families that needed a large place to stay in Tahoe. This place was perfect and such a great location. The view was amazing every morning and home was clean and comfortable. 20 minutes from the mountain and drive wasn’t bad. Probably even better in the summer with the nice large deck.

A wonderful Tahoe experience

We love coming to the Painter’s cabin. It is the perfect cabin and location for us to be together as a family! Our days were spent swimming in the lake, exploring the area and evening barbecuing and enjoying our meals on the deck. The cabin had everything we needed and the hosts are easy to communicate with and very helpful.

Third Time and Still LOVE IT

We have stayed here yearly for the last 3 years, and have had a fantastic vacation all 3 times. There are always new things to do, and the view can't be beat! Military reunion

My convoy security team tries to get together once a year with our spouses in tow. This trip has to be the best one so far. Your place was exceptional and there was so much to do in the area. We will plan this trip again for sure.

Memories made here!

Our group represented ages from 1 to 86, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed our stay! I loved walking to the local coffee shop and bringing coffee back to the cabin to enjoy on the spacious patio! The views were breathtaking. It was very clean.

3rd year at Jameson Beach home & ready for #4!!

Location is fabulous, right on the beach/water next door to Camp Richardson. There is a huge deck on the lake where we spend most of our time playing games, eating, visiting and watching the kids in the water. The Kitchen is stocked really well, and with 6 bds, and 3 baths, everyone was comfortable. Thank you Painter Family for sharing your beautiful Home!!

Perfect family vacation site

Aside from the June gloom which was expected, the beauty of Lake Tahoe is still unparalleled. The house is roomy, stocked well with whatever is needed, and in a great location if you want to do other things. It's our second time there and we'll definitely come back! Great Tahoe lakefront home

We stayed here in this wonderful, on the beach home for our second time this year and are booked for next year already. The home is in a great location, and is very well equipped with plenty of deck furniture, and great kitchen. There was no beach this year with the lake levels up, so we spent more time on the deck. The lack of internet was disappointing because phone service is spotty, but we managed.

Good But Not Enjoyable

Before our arrival the manager explained us about the snow. But the driveway in all our stayed never was cleaned. We got stuck on the snow and we couldn't be able to get out because of that. We asked for help the plow guy who cleans the street to be able to get out. The internet went out and we couldn't be able to watch a movie as a family at night. There were a lot of bed available and they only allow 12 guests including children. We have 4 beds empty in our stay. Good location for summer buy not for wintertime.

Great place on the lake

It was perfect for our family. Had enough room for three families, plus Mother who was also Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Four generations had a great time. being right on the lake made it so easy for my mother to get in the water and kayak around with her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. At first we went to many places tring to do all the things tourists do. The funnest day we had was the day we stayed at the house and played in the water all day. With all the space (two kitchens) no one ever felt as if they couldn't find their own space when needed. It was so private that the neighbor next door inquired the contact info for the property management to lock it down for the same time every year. Sitting on the deck you would have never known you were close to Camp Richardson. Yet just a few steps away you can rent boats, get drinks, ice cream, and eat out at the restaurant. We don't get my mother out on long trips often, and I don't expect to get her to go on a long trip again. This was very special to us all to spend such good time with her. The house made it so comfortable.
