Lovely place, rural which I liked. They had chalets behind the property down a small hill. It was so cosy. Meals in the pub had plenty of variety as well as breakfast. They also had some star gazing rooms (where roof opens up). Enjoyed my stay and would book again.
An overnight stay for my wife and self, a proper pub in a village with decent food and warm exceptionally clean accommodation.
Beer was good and locals were friendly, as were the staff, parking in the village square 50 yards from the premises. What's not to like .
Hotel is great and staff are brilliant very helpful. Food was Great. Room was very nice tidy. I will recommend to anyone going to north Devon is great place to stay. 5 Stars
Lovely property. Stayed in Taw Room for two nights. Good size bedroom and large shower room. Very clean and nce bed linen. Plenty of parking in the village. The bar is lively and breakfast is great, using local produce. Highly recommended.
It would have been an excellent stay. Everything was great until I was woken up to voices from the bar at mid night. I could not get back to sleep until it had finished at 12.50am. They obviously had a lock in which spoilt my 2 day stay! Great food and great staff!
The lady was excellent as we arrived late, they were so lovely and accomadating. The food was excellent and i would recommend this establishment if you are a keen walker on the edge of exmoor
This is a lovely old little B&B, with a cute country charm and lovely, friendly staff. Great food for vegetarians at breakfast and dinner. Nice room with lovely views of the countryside. Due to the rural and old nature of the pub, it was a little dusty and probably in need of a lick of paint, but this certainly shouldn’t deter people from staying. It was everything we needed during our stay!
Stayed overnight with family.
Theck in was a bit slow due to only one person being available who was also working the bar, so our first impression wasnt great. Otherwise the service was very good.
The room was spacious and clean. The beds comfortable. The breakfast is delicious with plenty of choice. The location is good. I would decommend this hotel.
From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, we had nothing but friendly attentive service from the staff at the pub.
We were fortunate to be upgraded from a room in the pub to one of the relatively new lodges. The lodge was immaculate on arrival and very comfortable and well equipped.
We had breakfast included and this was first class with locally sourced food included.
We had two evening dinners at the pub and both were excellent from the very varied menu on offer.
Very clean. Room comfortable. Food good
Staff friendly. Nice gardens.

All Right
It is a basic BnB. Good food, generally clean, seems like since dogs are allowed in rooms the carpets are damaged. I ordered a hamburger without the meat and the chef made a mushroom burger for me which was really nice. Bit noisy at night from kitchen and slamming of outside door. The lodges look really nice, maybe next time we would stay in those. I would stay here again.
