Incredible hotel with the best staff. Super clean and amazing food. Will definitely return.

I had coordinated for a transport from the airport but was told once I arrived that they could not accommodate us. We had to get a taxi that dropped us over half a mile from the hotel. My wife was not happy as we had to walk down a dark street with all of our luggage. The next day my daughter had come to visit and she was going to change in our room to go on a snorkeling trip. The front desk made a big deal about not allowing guests even though I offered to pay extra. The manager finally agreed to allow her to come to the room but made it clear that she couldn't eat or drink anything. I wouldn't stay here again as there are plenty of other options in the areal.

Overall a good 4+star hotel. My stay was comfortable and safe, it just doesn’t have the 5 star touch like others I have stayed in, that I was expecting. Hotels like Steigenberger Alcazar are proper 5 star hotels. The staff are very friendly, the food was good, the beach and the swimming pools maintained well.

Hello, The hotel was decent, but definitely not a 9/10 as suggested by the recent Google and Hotels.com ratings. If you want to swim in the sea, it’s quite difficult. You can walk hundreds of meters without the water going above knee level, and then suddenly it becomes very deep with waves. On top of that, it was extremely windy—we couldn’t even sit on the balcony facing the beach, despite the amazing view, which was actually the best part of our holiday. The food quality and variety were around 6/10 or 7/10 at best. The salad greens were not cleaned properly and often had dust and dirt on them. The alcoholic drink selection was very poor, and they were serving drinks in old blue acrylic cups at the pool and beach bars, which didn’t feel hygienic. There was only one beer brand available (an Egyptian brand, which was actually a decent lager), and they didn’t seem to have bartenders, so the cocktail menu was very limited and the quality was poor. The cleanliness of the beach, room, pool, and common areas was fine. There were some shops and markets on the property, but the sellers felt dishonest and overpriced. The security staff at the main gate asked for room numbers every time we entered or left the hotel, whether by car or on foot. Supposedly this was for record-keeping, but it felt uncomfortable and insecure to have hotel staff know exactly when we were or weren’t in the room. That should remain private. Overall, I would rate the hotel around 6/10 or 7/10 at most.

The hotel is extremely disappointing, especially considering all the positive reviews and its high rating. The hotel refuses to provide guests with bottled water or other bottled drinks, claiming that this is part of their environmental policy. In my opinion, this has nothing to do with protecting the environment and feels more like an attempt to cut costs, especially considering the high price we paid for our stay. We even saw staff providing bottled drinks to guests after receiving tips. The food was also very disappointing. Once certain dishes ran out, they were not replenished, and guests were simply told that the food was already finished, sometimes within the first hour of the meal. I also waited more than an hour to receive clean towels, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this level. In my opinion, this hotel is a real waste of potential. The property itself looks beautiful and clean, which makes the poor service, food, and overall experience even more disappointing. It could be a great hotel, but unfortunately, the service and management do not live up to its appearance or its high rating.
