"Easy & efficient check-in, I was lucky to grab a car parking space at the front of the hotel. Due to steps within the front foyer, I had to bring my bags around to a rear entrance & take a lift to the main floor, once I had checked in. My room was spacious with a interesting "alcove" at the headboard, with easy access for switching on the rooms lights. My only niggle was the lack of white bread at breakfast, I prefer to make my own food preferences, not have them made for me. The place was within a easy 5- 10 minute walk to Plymouth Arena."

"Bit difficult to establish where the parking is as not part of the hotel, otherwise enjoyed the short stay, mainly to see the Beryl Cook Exhibition nearby. Breakfasts are really good, the bar meals are the same as the restaurant but we were unable to use it as it was always fully booked. We chose to use the bar & staff, particularly Josh, were pleasant, helpful & attentive. Plymouth as a whole is looking very sad & needs a lot of attention!"

"Marine Hotel is dated, however it is clean & functional. Good choice of food for breakfast, basic but good. Staff are friendly & polite. Entertainment is good and is very well supported by Pete Night porter (5*). You get what you pay for, and we would return if you would have us back 👍"

"The view from our room was gorgeous and the enclosed balcony with heater was an unexpected bonus. The room was nice but thought the bathroom looked ‘tired’. From previous reviews, I thought the hotel would feel much more special than it did. We were here to celebrate a special birthday ( which the hotel were aware of) but that seemed to pass them by. Dinner in the evening was ok ( the staff were very pleasant) but again, I’d hoped the food would be excellent and it wasn’t. The cooked breakfasts were very good and served quickly and hot."

"Clean room and good breakfast. Side view of hotel so outlook poor. Need to pay more for a sea view. Problem with the evening meal on one night. Chaos. Not enough staff. meal came out in haphazard way and needed to order severl times. Food good when it arrived and the discounted the meal because of the problem. I asked to speak to the manager but he/ she never bothered to call. Not pleased. Shows what the management think of the customers."
