Amazingly comfortable and secluded Northwoods getaway

"I would 1000% recommend booking your stay at Birch Cove Cabin. From the second we walked in, we were so impressed by how charming and clean and welcoming it was. All the little added touches made us feel right at home. The host was amazing and went above and beyond helping me with any questions and concerns I had before checking in. We loved playing games on the porch and sitting on the deck reading or enjoying nature. We also loved everything from the views to the selection of games, books and puzzles. We wish we had extra days to enjoy everything. Nature lovers will love the loons and other wildlife all around. Everything was amazing x10!!! Can't wait to book my next visit."

"This house was super clean, communication was phenomenal but not having a dock access since the water was down really stinks. However, that was well communicated to us in advance. There were a couple of issues with house- front door doesn’t open all the way due to the flooring being uneven. Not a huge deal, but made it hard to carry in luggage or backpacks. The deck was super nice and large but many nails halfway up making it hard to have kids run outside. Otherwise we had a great stay and the host was great to work with."

"We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary at the cabin. Couldn't have found a more relaxing and lovely place. The hosts thought of absolutely everything. Enjoyed fishing off the dock and watching all of the wildlife, including 2 beautiful swans, loons, deer, turtles, a woodchuck. Even enjoyed all of the dragonflies. We definitely want to return."

"This place is so beautiful, Two docks. The Boat house with all the amenities, on top the area to sit and look out at the lake and enjoy. We love having fires are were so happy to have wood available and the Smores were amazing. The Host was excellent with communication. Our family had a wonderful time. Can't wait to come back another time."

"Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this cozy and spacious cabin. The location is excellent (under 10 minutes to Minong), the walk to the lake is short, and the kitchen has everything you need. The fireplace and free firewood were fantastic for a chilly evening, and the washer/dryer was a great amenity. Heads up for families: all beds are in an open loft, so privacy is limited.Our only major issue was that the cabin was quite dirty when we arrived, particularly with dog hair, and the sheets were not fresh. We had to wash all the linens before settling in after a long drive. I'd personally prefer to pay a cleaning fee for a spotless arrival rather than DIY, but the cabin itself is great and we would return in the future. Consider bringing your own sheets/blankets."

"We were originally booked for Cabin 5 which was a 3 bedroom cabin. Upon check in, the entire cabin had a very musty smell, the bathroom was very small for 3 bedrooms and spider webs had not been cleaned.. After speaking with the manager, they offered another cabin (2 bedroom) which had been updated and was MUCH nicer than the one we booked. They stated that cabin 5 was due for updating but had not yet been started. Due to the move, I can honestly say that we enjoyed our stay. While the cabin was small, it fit our needs. Please note that these cabins are no frill accommodations. Suitable, perhaps, for fisherman, but not for women or families unless they are used to camping. All in all we enjoyed the stay and the managers could not have been nicer."

"The atmosphere was just like home, comfortable and warming. Everything was furnished in the kitchen like pots, pans, dishes and appliances. All that was needed was your choice of food and snacks. The outside view of the lake was gorgeous. Fishermen were fishing. It is close to the downtown area. The host was great and stayed in contacted with us. Would recommend this charming cabin."
