Digby Pines Golf Resort and Spa

"What a treat it was when we stayed at this 96 year old home away from home for a couple of days Labour Day weekend. The public areas are a throwback to a much simpler time(huge ballroom/lounge area with its cozy seating, fireplace, bar and all manner of games - the enclosed verandah with wonderful views and live music every Saturday evening - the outdoor heated pool (a night swim when the air temp was 12 degrees centigrade was awesome and the dry sauna afterwards was also fabulous), the grounds are beautiful, the full breakfast has plenty of hot and cold items to choose from. We didn't eat dinner onsite but from what I could tell, their prices were in line with local restaurant prices. Our room had two twin beds. Initially, I thought they were too soft but I had no trouble falling asleep and my back was fine the next day. The bathroom was a bit dated but tastefully so and everything worked, so all was good. The one thing which might be a concern for light sleepers is that the 96 year old walls aren't completely soundproof. I would more than happily stay here again as a special treat!"

"We had a great stay! The cabin itself is quiet and remote. We had wonderful evenings looking up at the stars around the camp fire. The cabin is stocked with everything you need and was a great get away. For reference the access to the lake is quite easy to get to but the lake area is right in front of the owners house. To get the lake you have to walk onto his property and past his house which can feel a bit intrusive at times. Overall we had a wonderful stay! What an incredible spot!"

"Magical property! Immaculate, VERY well stocked kitchen as well as laundry facility and linens. Comfortable bedrooms and living room furniture. More than enough space for three adults and one dog. Incredible views from inside, the covered deck, fire pit and landing (we used them all!). Peaceful and quiet! Add the hummingbirds, gold finches, loons and bald eagles and you have magical! Great location for exploring Digby Neck, Yarmouth and every beautiful bay and community in between. Host was responsive and helpful with knowledge about community activities which was wonderful. Kayaking the lake is a must do with an variety of paddling watercraft to choose from and clean life jackets. Our dog LOVED sitting outside with us on the deck and fire pit as well as taking a walk up the driveway to the road."

"Nous avons séjourné 2 nuits au Vignoble de Bear River et nous avons été absolument enchantés moi et mon copain de notre séjour. Les propriétaires, Darren et Suzan sont d'une grande gentillesse et font preuve de beaucoup de bienveillance envers leur clientèle. Étant deux amateurs de bons vins, nous avons adoré qu'ils prennent le temps de nous faire visiter les lieux et nous expliquent en quoi consiste leur métier de vignerons.Nous nous sommes senti privilégié d'avoir pu y séjourner. S'asseoir confortablement sur la terrasse arrière, un verre à la main et prendre le temps de savourer cette vue absolument magnifique sur les rangs de vignes entourés de collines; un moments de pure douceur !L'emplacement est parfait pour les voyageurs qui ont prévu prendre le ferry qui relie Digby et St John, environ 30 min de voiture."
