Everything - space and location in particular. Recommend driving or hiring a taxi for the day if you really want to see the attractions which is about 10 minutes away and to see the down town parts of the city.

The description of the property was not at all accurate. The pool was big but was not at all a ”resort pool”. The dishwasher didn’t work, showers didn’t work properly, AC couldn’t keep up with the heat. It wasn’t close to anything. Nothing. No coffee maker or ice maker. Literally 4 plates. It was not well appointed. It was really disappointing.

The Manager of the house was a fraud. He took my money and didn’t have my reservation. He never answered my calls. Very in professional would not recommend anyone to this property. The picture looks good on the internet in person it’s a real dump!! It was a Terrible experience.

Owner scammed us & gave our villa to someone else!

We booked this Villa and had to arrive late because our flight was delayed until the next day. We called to arrange the late check in and the owner ignored our calls and texts all day. When we finally arrived the guard wouldn’t let us in and said someone was already staying in the Villa. After hours of Hotels.com customer service trying to talk with the owner they finally spoke to the owner and he said we could check in the next morning. Hotels.com was nice enough to give us a voucher for our trouble of finding a place to stay that night. The next morning we texted and tried to call the owner to confirm arrival bit he ignored us again. When we arrived the guard again said we couldn’t go in and that someone was staying there. At this point we realized we were never going to get in the place and had to fend for ourselves. I would caution others to think twice about booking with this owner.

I really enjoyed my stay at coolshade, the villa was clean, the community is gated. My family and I felt safe there. Chakka cove was just across the street. It was about one hour away from the montegobay airport.

Not what we were expecting. This is not a small setting of 15 or 25 private villas, Coolshade is huge. I would estimate 400 villas. The villas are all huge with open rafters island style. The service was typical island style. Jackie was always just a call away. While it is unlikely we will came back to Jamaica (so many countries on our list) Jamaica was duly represented.

Tranquil Relaxation

Coolshade is very nice. I had some work to do and I found it a nice place to get things done. The tranquility was priceless. My wife and daughters spend the days in town and I was able to catch up. I even went to the pool to drink a Red Stripe and take a mid day dip in the pool twice...very nice and even kid friendly...oddly enough.

We had an incredible time! Forgot several times we were in Jamaica as we’ve stayed at similar villas in Orlando Florida. My high school reunion was happening in Kingston and I wanted a quick getaway. The location is beautiful and close to all the sites/attractions. Jackie the manager was very pleasant and easy to communicate with. She was very patient in giving us direction and there to greeting us at the location. Such a sweet and amiable woman. She offered suggestions and followed up each time. She went above and beyond for our meals. Nothing was off limits! Absolutely delicious. That breeze rushed threw the open front porch made me wish the villa belong to me! The master shower was perfection! The boys thoroughly enjoyed the pool. And we had a wonderful time at Dunn’s River. Just an overall wonderful experience. Already planning our next stay!

THIRD TIME IN OCHO RIOS WAS A CHARM

This to die for villa!! We felt like royalty!!! Its gated with 24hour security. Its huge kitchen layout was my favorite!! There is a grocery store on the grounds which was very convenient. The kids where outside enjoying all the amenities the property had to offer then we switched it up to off the premises adventures that where about 20 minutes away. The kids loved swimming with the dolphins at dolphin cove!! Definitely worth every penny, must stay!!!!

A very good experience...

The staff was very professional warm and welcoming and helped to arranged all the details of our trip. We stayed in the same area three holidays in a row and this is the best of the three. The villa was uniquely decorated with accents that are not of the cheap variety. I strongly recommend staying in this villa.

Very Nice View of the Ocean

The owners of this place really undersold it and over delivered. We were very impressed with the villa itself and the amenities/facilities. We literally saw the ocean from the front porch. It is recommended you have a rented car to get around but the location was close enough to the town and to all the attractions. After hiccup's of accomodation, this place came as a blessing. The reception was wonderful from the point of check-in where the manager made his time to come out to welcome us and ensured we were settled in. The place was ready for us, clean and with supplies for our stay. It felt like a home away from home and the amenities available, like the gym and swimming pool were a plus.
