"Property is dated, but is having some renovation work done. Still Quite a few shabby areas. We picked this hotel for it's advertised amenities, but found the Tennis and golf putting green not available, plus no secure bike lockup, had to leave locked to car. Poor visability on Security camera overlooking car and had to move it to more secure location."

"Lovely stay in cockermouth. Hotel was fab, booked very last minute but all in order when we arrived. Small but well thought out room. Its an old building so not all clean lines etc but they've done well with what the space they have. Excellent veggie breakfast the next day. Staff all very pleasant and friendly, particularly the Scottish lady. Would definitely stay again. Great value for money for a bank holiday. "

"Beautiful spot well situated for Keswick and Cockermouth. Near a busy road which makes access convenient but still feels quiet. Our room was spacious and well appointed with a comfortable bed. Felt like a lovely cosy retreat to come back to after a day out walking in the wind and rain. Breakfast was well organised, very tasty and there was a good amount of choice on offer. Service was very quick but never felt hurried or rushed. Peter and Katie were great hosts and had lots of tips and recommendations. Got in contact with us quickly when we left an item behind after checking out. "

"We stayed at Armathwaite Hall for one night and it was superb. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and little touches made our stay very memorable such as a glass of prosecco on arrival and a card and some chocolates in my room for my birthday. We stayed in a Club room which was very spacious. We ate in the dining room which was pricey but the food was exquisite so worth the money. We also made full use of the spa facilities which are just heavenly and very relaxing. I would thoroughly recommend Armathwaite Hall to anyone even if only for a one night birthday treat. Superb! "

"Lovely lodge unfortunately the oven was not working so needed to call out for help on our first evening but the man was very helpful and lined us a counter top cooker. No WiFi which I didn't realise when I booked which was a pain and the TV signal was glitchy. "

"It was a lovely cosy place .i will definitely go bk some time soon . Very quiet and peaceful. Cockermouth just a ten minute drive up the rd and it was such a nice place to visit 🩷"

"Nice lodge on the outskirts of Cockermouth..Generally good but issues that were flagged up in the visitors book not addressed.Blinds poorly fitted so privacy compromised.Not enough lighting at night so dangerous getting to the hot tub as the sky dish is path mounted and in the way.Microwave in the fitted kitchen didnt work but a portable replacement quickly delivered.Toilet was left dirty! One of the light sockets in the bathroom was hanging out of the wall and the battery in the smoke alarm was flat.These are minor issues that should've been sorted by now but overall we were satisfied with the lodge."
