"What a fantastic place. We got such a friendly warm welcome, beautiful room, terrific breakfast. Central location is handy for going out for supper. My only niggle was that, because our room was on the ground floor, once breakfast service had started, we couldn't sleep due to noise of people and the radio.This was from about 7.30am."

"It was a great location. We did find the car park a little bit tight and tricky to get into (as the road was fairly busy when we arrived). The cottage was great and had all we were after and the downstairs bathroom was great for my elderly Mum. The two single beds mattresses were a bit past their best so the only thing I’d suggest to improve the property would be an update of those. Otherwise it was a great place to stay right on the river."

"Amazing all round. Big bedroom with great views, amazing food in the restaurant, kind and helpful staff, and the spa was incredible after a day of browsing the local towns and some walks around the lakes. Perfect central location too as a base for our trip, with easy access south to Ambleside and Windermere or north to Keswick and across towards buttermere. A luxurious stay that made our trip complete."
