"The Hilton is a great hotel, but my experience with the staff disappointing, especially for a Hilton. There were several issues that came up and there was no consistency.
I was unaware there were renovations going on at the hotel, maybe it was posted somewhere but I missed it. I only noticed renovations when I got up to my room on the 4th floor.
About 8am in the morning I heard continuous, repeated banging on what sound like was in the room next to mine. I sounded. like someone was hammering nails into the wall.
I messaged front desk and they said they'd send someone up. Then told it wasn't renos because renos was on the second floor. At 10am there was drilling. I messaged front desk again. This time they told me that I should know there were renos and they would happen between 7am-3pm.
Inconsistent answers.
I had originally booked two nights through expedia, when business trip plans fell short I asked if I could have my second night refunded. Front desk told me it was non-refundable and done through a third party (expedia) so they would have to make the exception.
Expedia was willing to make the exception. Now the hotel said they weren't.
Again, inconsistent.
It's a great hotel, but the inconsistency from their staff was extremely disappointing. I felt lied. It felt like they were passing the buck and when the buck came back they had no choice but to own it. I would rather they have owned it from the beginning."
