Me and my 6 friends had a super comfortable stay at this location, the hot tub was great the kitchen was a perfect size for a family meal and the shuttle to the mountain was clutch!
The place was convenient, clean and fit us three couples just fine. The ski shuttle picks you up at our units. Easy access to ski hill and town with app. All Free. Have stayed hear before and will again.
The prices for this place felt incredibly high, but the place itself was everything we needed. The place was cute, quaint, and clean. High ceilings made the place feel a lot bigger. Loved the outdoor hot tubs. The check-in process could have been made easier, as there is electronic doors, and having to check in at the office just seems redundant and an extra step. There should have been more towels in unit for a place that sleeps 8, but overall it was a good time! Retreatia was very communicative and I felt confident with the booking!
We enjoyed our trip to steamboat and in general everything went well. The condo was nice sized, clean and close enough to walk to the ski resort. The only issue we ran into was that one night the shuttle service took us into town and then they stopped running because of snowy roads. They let us know about the situation but we were stuck downtown with the options of a 45 min bus ride back or a $60 uber ride so that we could get back which was frustrating. Other than that the place was great.
We had a great time and go to Steamboat 2 -3 times per year. The unit itself was great - as advertised, well equipped kitchen, cozy.
The larger property, Shadow Run, seemed to be a bit overrun with people. Unless you went very late (i.e. after 9:00 p.m.), the hot tubs were bursting with people. They offer shuttle service, but there are only 3 small ones running (and one is reserved for "reserved trips"). At the end of the ski day where the shuttles pick up skiers, this resulted in pretty impressive battles for a shuttle spot when one would show up. The shuttle would pull in, there would be a huge rush to get on, and maybe 1/2 would make it. By the time the next shuttle arrived, the crowd waiting for the shuttle had grown again for this to play out the same way. It took us almost an hour to get on a shuttle on one day. The next, we just took the free city bus. The bus is great! The only challenge is the stop is quite a walk from the Shadow Run complex.
These aren't deal breakers, by any means, but a heads up to others during ski weekends.
