"This is a family run Motel (new owners ) conveniently located close to Provincial parks and lakes. Everyone was friendly and very welcoming. We stopped by early to see if we could possibly check in early. Malik and his family were very accommodating and went out of their way to make this happen for us. The Motel room was very clean, with some recent updates to it ( the bathroom). The Motel is being gradually renovated and updated and you can see that progress is slowly being made (Malik reassured us there would be no noise during our stay and there wasn’t!)"

"We had such a wonderful stay! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and right at home. The property was spotless, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. Annette and Al were incredibly kind, accommodating, and thoughtful, making sure every detail was taken care of while still giving us plenty of privacy. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and was the perfect way to start each day. The location was peaceful and charming, making it easy to unwind while still being close to local attractions. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend The Gathering Place to anyone looking for a cozy, relaxing place to stay. We can’t wait to come back!"

"The property in Bancroft was even better than the photos and exceeded our expectations. It was clean, spacious and had everything we needed to feel at home such as towels, pots, pans, a kettle, cutlery..... I was there with my 3 year old son and was so pleased to find out that there was a beautiful playground right across the street and within a close walk we attended a community concert that is held each Wednesday night. Its a small quite town but perfect for hiking or fishing. We hope to return again in the future. Thanks to the hosts for sharing your home."
Family Friendly Beautiful Lake Front Cottage

"Our trip was fabulous. I always love a cottage where we are free to bring out furry friend with us. We brought our own paddle boards (the property provided a paddle board and 2 kayaks) and loved being out on the lake. It was nice and calm. A little boat traffic but nothing heavy. It is a bit of a trek into town so if you want a home base for exploring it may not be ideal for you but it was perfect for what we wanted. (It was about 30-45 mins in to the closet town) Time on the water, a campfire and family time, lots of board games.The property was clean, well stocked and everything was easy to find/ access. I loved having the BBQ. I don't think we turned the oven on at all. Perfect family vacation."
