Perfect slice of heaven! Owner super easy to deal with. Setting is amazing! Need to travel little for restaurants cause it’s away from the hustle and bustle, very quiet. Bring some food and grill and buy fresh lobsters close to cottage.

Really enjoyed our stay!

This cottage was so perfect for our stay. Very cute, well kept, and in a great location. We really appreciated being so close to the water and enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evenings. We also enjoyed roasting marshmallows by the campfire. The whole experience was very cozy and enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again!

We had an excellent long weekend! The views are gorgeous!! The property was quiet, cottage was clean and it had all the “household” stuff you need for cooking. We had a good time looking for cool rocks, watching the tide and sitting by the fire.

Hidden Gem

This is a great cabin located in a nice private setting, with the ocean literally feet from the door. We enjoyed our stay. It was so relaxing and we got to see the full Hunter Moon rising right over the ocean. The cabin was clean and cozy, and the kitchen had everything you could need. We enjoyed day trips to Bar Harbor/Acadia, Schoodic Peninsula, Lubec and Campobello Island. I would rent this property again in a heartbeat.

This cottage is wonderful. The host has put a lot of consideration into his space. We felt welcomed and comfortable. The ocean view is incredible with small boats and wildlife. Nearby is hiking at Petit Manan and Pigeon Hill Reserve. Beautiful views and wild blueberries await. Cant wait to return!

Loved this cottage. So glad we found this for our first trip to Maine. Peaceful location away from the touristy bar harbor, but close enough to drive there for activities. So many thoughtful extras that we've not experienced in other VRBO properties we have visited. Our family of 4 was very comfortable here. The host was very kind. We are missing the place already and would love to return..

The Perfect Getaway!

The cottage was beautiful and the view was magnificent. Communication with the owner was excellent, and the place was well supplied with thoughtful items that were above and beyond expectations. (Like binoculars for viewing the wildlife.) We felt that we experienced a more authentic coastal main experience here than in a more 'touristy' area. All the small towns nearby are wonderful to explore as well as Acadia National Park. FIVE STARS from us all around!

Picture Perfect Retreat!

Our stay was absolutely everything we hoped for. To start, the owner was absolutely wonderful with answering any questions we had before, during and after our stay- he honestly went above and beyond! We were nervous as this was our first ever week long rental - but it was even better than the pictures, beautiful, clean, and the location was amazing! Sunrise every morning was gorgeous- we saw seals and had little crabs in the tide pools that were so much fun to watch. So much to do nearby, that we didn’t even make it to Acadia! We explored the nature reserves and hiking and food all locally and it was perfect. Would highly recommend to anyone of any age looking for a calm and relaxing ocean side retreat!

Loved it!!

Karl’s cabin was perfect! Our family of four used this amazing cabin as our home base while we explored the area. It was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. And the view was amazing! We kayaked in the bay several times, went to the tidal falls, Schoodic Point, biked the trails in Acadia, and hiked the trails down the road. And ate lots of lobster! Even steamed lobster right there on the waterfront of the cabin. And watched the ever changing life on the bay, with it’s tides, lobster boats and wildlife (saw lots of seals!). Thanks for the amazing stay! Hope to be back!

Peace, quiet, beauty and charm!

There is peace here. It was waiting for us on the rocks by the water.There is quiet here. It came to us in the days and nights with the calls of the gulls, the bark of a seal and the water gently lapping on the rocks.There is beauty here. It captured us with every gaze out over the water in the colored speckled dots and the tree covered islands and that big beautiful sky.There is charm here. It greeted us with that perfect balance of creature comforts and rustic feel. There is thanks here. It grew in us each day we got to stay. Magical Maine

I cannot say enough good things about our rental. We stayed at the cabin vs. going to Bar Harbor just to enjoy the views of the water, watching the tides come and go, and watching the lobster boats. We enjoyed eating dinner at the picnic table and roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. Don’t miss the opportunity to view the gorgeous and brilliant night sky as well as watching the sun rise. The cottage is well equipped and has thoughtful additions throughout. Karl is a wonderful host and checked in with us to ensure a wonderful visit and answered any questions promptly. This is a wonderful place to visit.

Perfect sunrises

My husband and I had a morning ritual of watching the sunrise. We were able to watch the lobster boats pull out at sunrise. This place is a gem. The view from the living room is amazing. It is off the beaten path and not near the tourist traps. Bar Harbor. It is still close enough to go visit those but we only did that one day. There are hiking paths around and the north coast of Arcadia national Park, which is gorgeous. The owner is wonderful and it was a pleasure to meet him and get to talk to him. We will definitely be going back someday.

Perfect In Every Way

We've vacationed on the Maine coast for at least 12 years and this was by far the best ever. The property is newly renovated, located right on the water and central to many day hikes and day trips. Acadia National Park and Campabello Island Canada are two of the ones we did, with perfect weather for each. Communication with Karl, the owner, was clear and welcomed by each of us and meeting him personally was a bonus. A variety of wildlife was seen throughout the week while hiking, kayaking and driving with the sea life of seals, whales and dolphins being most memorable. This rates a perfect 10 and we're already planning things we might enjoy doing on a return stay. Loved every minute of it!

The Maine event

This cute secluded cottage has everything: gorgeous views, screened in porches, comfortable seating and a very well appointed kitchen with everything you might need. Yet it has kept a rustic feel. We saw bald eagles and seals right from the cottage. Lots of things to do in the area if you are a nature lover. The only disappointment was missing the puffins. They leave mid-August, so if you want to see them (Acadia Puffin Cruise is 5 minutes from cottage), plan accordingly. Karl's suggestions about food and activities were very helpful too. And dog friendly to boot!
