Stonehaven retreat

Great location not far from the town centre and a short 5 min walk to the old harbour. View out of the room is insane, looking straight over the beach and out to sea. Great continental breakfast selection.

The room was well situated, with dedicated parking, great views-AMAZING views-seriously- super offerings in the room. We so enjoyed relaxing in our room with salad fixings from local stores with our room providing the plates and utensils needed for us to enjoy our finds. Food was provided for breakfast and plenty of coffee or tea. We loved being able to see the sea in all of its glory from even the shower! We would absolutely stay here again and enthusiastically recommend the beach front room! What a gem!! Personally, I enjoyed watching all of the dogs walking by!

Overall a very nice place to stay. Cute and cozy. The only complaint would be the bed, which was too small for two people and also very tall, and with limited blankets, making for a fairly uncomfortable night's sleep. We also didn't like being on the ground floor and having people look in, so we would only book a higher unit in the future.

The property was perfectly situated and convenient for everything. The bed was comfy and clean as was the bathroom. Fridge was well stocked with a selection of breakfast food, fresh fruit, eggs, cheese, milk and juice, which was greatly appreciated. Not sure about the pre-wrapped pastries, not for me. However the room was a little shabby, curtains and floor covering could do with a refresh and the room overall could do with a deep clean ie high and low dusting and some basic maintenance. But overall, a nice place for one evening.

Like Check in very easy, email day before with key box code, need to go down an alley to entrance to flat . Dislike Heating controls do not work , heating only came on at 7ish then switched off 10ish, an oil heater is provided but you need to lift it out a cupboard and plug it in in the corner of the room. Which had to be kept on into the night as it was late February and night was cold. Tiled floor , no brush supplied and gritty under foot as sand was brought in on our shoes. Having the heater on in the morning caused condensation on the windows and door which made our jackets wet. Breakfast was ok but , butter was almost a month out of date, tomatoe sauce in fridge out of date, and one of the two yogurts was 13 days out of date . Would we be back no
