We have been to Regina Palace for the third time. It’s a lovely place. Well situated and friendly staff. The reason for the 4 stars is that parking used to be free and is now 20 eur per night.

Hotel and room are very luxurious and faithfully decorated per la Belle Époque period. Staff is well dressed and very polite, respectful and formal. Did not like: Noise audible from other rooms, small TV screen, on-premises parking not free.

The hotel is in a brilliant location for Stressa itself and for the boats to the Islands. The hotels interior is very Palatial, we expected it to be some what Palatial it was vastly more than we expected. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful, the breakfast was lovely.

We lvery much iked this upmarket hotel - My wife thinks the spa pool and general spa areas are the best we've visited. We had a difficulty with check in initially because we were given a basic garden view room without a balcony and the booking on Expedia was clearly with a balcony. I had anticipated this and had taken a screen shot of the Expedia hotel web page. The room was swapped by reception without further argument on producing the screenshot, so good for them. In fairness to the hotel I suspect this was Expedia's fault - Expedia nb your confirmation emails do not confirm all the agreed details like breakfast and balconies and they should as it would stop issues like this. Stresa is lovely and the hotel is lovely. We strongly recommend

What a wonderful hotel! It was every bit as beautiful as the pictures. Our room was charming, and overlooked the lake. It was very early in the season, so only one restaurant was open for supper, but the food was delicious and the service impeccable. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and the Sporting Club facilities were great. I will recommend this place to everyone I know!

True experience

Beautiful ole hotel, with charming interior and feeling of a time-travel. The hotel really is worth a visit but is maybe in need of slight upgrade. We went there in November, and the off-season timing gave our visit an additional plus: everything was quiet apart from some sounds of renovation. The hotel might not be perfectly comfortable, but it’s something you will remember.

The hotel is in the centre of Stresa and opposite the main square / small departure points for the boats. It is a grand hotel and the appearance is magnificent. Room was Very nice, Spa was good and breakfast was good too. Things that should be improved: - the outdoor swimming pool / jacuzzi water temperature is more suitable for bears and penguins. For such an hotel, it is unacceptable not to have the water slightly heated at least - bathrooms are on the smaller side and bits of it needs TLC

Grand, old hotel

We were very impressed with the looks of the hotel. The amazing garden and the almost royal appearance of the lobby is stunning. Breakfast was varied and tasty. However, the shower/bath glass side plate, which should have sealed the water flow and keep it from running out, did not work at all. As a result, the whole bathroom floor was flooded every time we took a shower. Very inconvenient.
