100-Acre Garden of the Gods Retreat w/ Hot Tub

"The house met all of our needs and is beautiful decorated. We used the house as our base for a mini family reunion with my three siblings and their spouses. The house was the perfect size for the eight of us and the two dogs that came along with two of the couples. The large back porch overlooking the field behind the house was perfect to let the dogs run as the house is secluded from other houses and a short drive from the road. Our hosts were very responsive to our needs and quickly replaced the stove (just 3 years old) with a new one when it began to throw an error message while we were cooking. Everyone had a wonderful time. Our 4-day weekend was a great success with hiking, a visit to the iron furnace, and a local winery."

"Hickory Hollow was what we were looking for. The unit matched what was advertised and was perfect for our quick couples retreat. Keyless entry and great directions from the Outpost were greatly appreciated. The unit was very clean and had all the supplies noted. The notebook in the unit was very useful for hiking and for dining suggestions. In Golconda we went to Diver Down Restaurant which we would highly recommend. Very close to Garden of the Gods and Cave In Park. Elizabethtown was another nice spot (Mercantile Store). I would suggest downloading maps of the area as cell phone reception is a bit sketchy."

"Very central to hiking in the Shawnee Forest. Only negative in our eyes was that there was no effort to enhance the exterior of the cabin. A little effort with landscaping could go a long way."

"A beautiful couple's retreat in the woods. Very private with all the amenities. I was impressed with how nice the place was and the hot tub was perfect. I will definitely be coming back again in the future. A perfect place for an Anniversary."

"They went above and beyond. The place was clean and very comfortable. There were snacks and drinks left for us. They even had the fire pit ready to light. We had a mishap and 1 of our guest had to go to the hospital. Katie offered to come and give moral support and go get what we needed. They even offered to get us home if we needed it. There were books to read and games to play. I don't think I have ever had as good of service as this. I will always be greatful. If I come back to this area this is where I will stay."
Unique 1970s Round House w/ Hot Tub

"The place was terrific. Be aware there is only one bathroom but it has a large shower and is very functional. The host was amazing and super accessible. My boys actually broke one of the knobs on the hot tub and she was very understanding. Would highly recommend this house. The pond and the outdoor area was great. They even cut a path on the hillside below the house that loops around down to the woods. The kids loved running around that loop. Great get away for families!"

"It doesn't look like much on the outside, but the inside is great! Sparkling clean and one hundred percent new and upgraded interior. Well appointed kitchen; lots of little extras in the home. We would definitely stay here again."
