Very nice boutique hotel, very clean, amazing restaurant with delicious food and attentive service. The breakfast buffet was more than adequate with a variety of yogurts, eggs, meats, juices and wonderful teas. We enjoyed the customizable bread basket! Dinner was equally delicious. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We would stay here again. Only issue was parking lot is a bit small and guests have to pay for underground parking when restaurant patrons take up parking lot spaces. It is about a 15-20 minute drive to downtown Stuttgart which was nice, accessible location without being in the city. There are walking trails close by as well.

The room was very nice and the hotel had a nice feel to it. However the communication with the staff was a little difficult. We were told our room would be ready in 10-15 minutes and had to wait for 2 hours before it was ready. We also had asked to get a tray picked up from our room and when returning we found the tray was still there. The food from the restaurant was great though!

The front desk agents were excellent for check-in and checkout. The room was nice but the current trend of not having a door to the bathroom, as well as a (frosted) glass door to the toilet were not to my liking and I hope they go away quickly. The breakfast buffet was not worth the 33 Euros each as many items appeared to be somewhat not fresh. Particularly some cheeses and fruits were beyond their prime. The breakfast knocked an otherwise 5 star rating to 4.

Very nice hotel. A little hard to find, the gps tells you the road ends but you need to keep going. We did drive around a bit. Hotel and staff are great. The restaurant is fantastic and service there was wonderful. We had dinner there one night and then that’s are they have breakfast in the mornings. Would love to stay there again.

Hotel has a boutique vibe and is in a great location if you don't want to be in the heart of a city. Two train stations within 5-10 minutes, beautiful wooded area with trails, and several charming local cafes and restaurants within walking distance.

Blend of old & new charm.

Lovely property with generous sized & tastefully decorated rooms. Staff at reception & the bar were very helpful & spoke excellent English. Our meal in the bar (club sandwiches) was tasty, fresh & not greasy. The only negative was that for the “comfort” rooms in the heritage part of the property, there is no lift to help with heavy luggage, however a staff member happily took my husband’s luggage upstairs.

Amazing place in the middle of the woods just minutes away from the busy city center. The cleanliness and customer service is top notch. Our breakfast was also very good. Oh and did I mentioned German coffee? ☕️ It was delicious 🤤

We were traveling throughout Germany and fount this stop outside of Stuttgart quiet and relaxing for the final leg of our trip. We had dinner at the restaurant it was expensive but satisfying . Parking was simple and not crowded. The host helped us to our room . A lovely ending to a challenging trip!

Waldhotel is our favorite Stuttgart area hotel. We have stayed there several times over the past 8 years. Service is excellent, and the hotel is located in a convenient area. We also really enjoyed the bar and the restaurant, both of which were even better this time than on previous visits. My one major complaint is that the mattress on this last stay was way too firm for my liking. I also didn't like the toadstool art. But overall, we had an excellent stay.

Property originally tried to charge for breakfast, but then corrected the mistake blaming it on Expedia. Parking was free since we parked outside instead of in the underground garage. Beautiful setting with wooded acreage surrounding the area and east walk to local restaurants. A peaceful setting minutes from central Stuttgart. Great sauna and exercise facility, but unfortunately no Pool!

Design of bedrooms was well done; evening meal in restaurant was delicious and the service exceptional. One criticism was you had to have the full breakfast … we do not eat breakfast after such an evening meal. Only coffee but this seemed problematic as menu price was lower than what we were billed. Reservation desk did their best to resolve somewhat.
