"Room was clean and tidy, shower was fantastic. Dinner was not good, two attempts at serving sirloin steak, both steaks impossible to cut through the sinew. Bill was cancelled. Breakfast was good. Excellent village square location."

"We found Forge cottage very comfortable and well equipped. Parking nearby was no problem at all. The cottage is a lot more spacious than we had expected and it was a nice bonus to have two bathrooms! The only downside was the lack of any views but we were out all the time so this didn’t really matter. Both the bed and furniture were extremely comfortable."

"Really cozy holiday house with all the essentials you would need. A lovely space, like home from home. Located right in the town of Masham so convenient to get to the shops, (Co-Op only 1 minute walk away). Lots of lovely pubs close by and plenty of parking in the square (with an honesty box). Would definitely recommend."

"A really lovely little den in an old Yorkshire-stone building in a side street of an elegant market town. Good pubs nearby. The hosts obviously care. This helps greatly. One small quibble so that this doesn't sound too gushy - the loo cistern was leaking slightly and the floor around it was damp. A small thing, easily fixed, and no problem at all. Overall, highly recommended."

"Had a wonderful week in this cottage. It is so comfortable, has everything you could possibly need, lovely and cosy. Our dog really enjoyed herself too and the garden is perfect for humans and dogs. It’s in a perfect position for walking to shops pubs and cafes and two breweries"

"Lovely place to stay. Was just the two of us. We would say 2nd bedroom is suitable for children rather than infants or adults, due to steep stairs, and layout of the room. Teenagers would love it I'd imagine. Only thing that let it down slightly was the small seating area outside. Just needs a little TLC. A quick sweep out would have helped. Other than that Masham and this property well worth visit, if maybe slightly over priced."
