"We were so pleased with this lovely cottage, so much bigger than we thought it would be. The bedroom was so cosy with an extremely comfortable bed. An abundance of hot water and the large bath was so welcome after a long day of hiking in all sorts of weather. A choice of 3 pubs in Masham all with a cosy atmosphere. Can recommend Harry’s Fish Bar, the best fish supper we’ve had for a while. Great communication from the owner, Shirley, thank you."

"Comfortable bed. Good size clean bathroom with bath. Quite quiet after 11.00 . Wall ( outside wall )showed signs of damp and repairs a bit off putting. Told manager at end of stay who noted to inform that it. needed attention"

"I booked a twin room which was clean and a good size. The mattress on my bed was very uncomfortable so I swoped it with the pull out bed underneath our bed. The mattress was smaller than the original mattress and was too small for the base but it was very comfortable, a good mattress. I didn’t mention this to the staff at the hotel. The fan in the bathroom didn’t work efficiently but otherwise excellent. The meals were very good and delicious."

"We stayed for a week in September. The house was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Masham has a good variety or shops and pubs right on your doorstep. Some great local walks too. Highly recommended."

"A really lovely little den in an old Yorkshire-stone building in a side street of an elegant market town. Good pubs nearby. The hosts obviously care. This helps greatly. One small quibble so that this doesn't sound too gushy - the loo cistern was leaking slightly and the floor around it was damp. A small thing, easily fixed, and no problem at all. Overall, highly recommended."

"Had a wonderful week in this cottage. It is so comfortable, has everything you could possibly need, lovely and cosy. Our dog really enjoyed herself too and the garden is perfect for humans and dogs. It’s in a perfect position for walking to shops pubs and cafes and two breweries"

"Lovely place to stay. Was just the two of us. We would say 2nd bedroom is suitable for children rather than infants or adults, due to steep stairs, and layout of the room. Teenagers would love it I'd imagine. Only thing that let it down slightly was the small seating area outside. Just needs a little TLC. A quick sweep out would have helped. Other than that Masham and this property well worth visit, if maybe slightly over priced."
