"Very friendly staff, good food, well decorated. The hotel is used as a wedding venue ( every time i have stayed here there has been a wedding on) but do not let stop you staying, as all the rooms are well insulated from the celebrations and are in the function rooms. Thourally reccomended."
"Just stayed one night on the way to Edinburgh and it was great! Our room (in the old school house behind the pub) was small but had everything we needed including a very comfortable bed.
We had dinner in the pub and the food was fantastic (and great "desert cocktail" too!) Staff were all very helpful and friendly.

"This was a beautiful hotel! It is a historic building so it has it’s quirks but it was neat to stay here! The staff was friendly and this one included the free breakfast. The only thing I would caution is the room was a long way through a maze of stairs and corridors so if you brought múltiple suitcases and have a car then plan ahead and only take what you will need and be wearing the next day in your smaller case otherwise this place was fantastic! I think they may have offered to help with the bags - if you have all your bags, take them up on that! This one is also the only one we stayed at on our two week trip where parking wasn’t a challenge - they have a large lot! "
"Had a lovely one night stay as a family of 4 at The Commercial Hotel. The room was lovely and very clean with comfy beds and a bath and shower. We also had our evening meal in the hotels restaurant which was also which was very tasty and reasonably priced. I would highly recommended and would definitely stay here again."
