This property is GORGEOUS and in the right are: not too in the thick of tourism, but not completely out of it.
My gripe is with Wonderful Italy in general and the impossibly slow or broken internet at the property.
Upon arriving to Ortegia two hours prior to check-in, the team was TERRIBLE at communicating. Before arriving they couldn’t let us know if we could check-in early, but once we arrived, they provided the worst directions to their office to store our luggage. We literally had to drag our luggage in 95 degree heat all over the city — including to our apartment that ended up being a late check-in because of the last guest. The team was also kind of rude as well.
If you need to work remotely, don’t count on being able to do it at this property because the internet is non-existent. Also, if you have mobility issues, I would stay here since there is no elevator and it’s three stories up. After dragging luggage around on cobble street for an hour, it’s the last thing you want to lug up stairs.
