I had a short stopover here but they couldn't have been lovelier. Quick responses and very helpful with booking airport pick up and greeting me at a later than expected arrival. Such a friendly staff and the room was beautiful, breakfast delicious and the location ideal.

The Riad is down a side street close to the Kasbah. It has a beautiful enclosed garden and a lovely rooftop terrace. The room was comfortable and had a good-sized bathroom. The bedding was comfortable with a mattress on the firm side. Breakfast was delicious with croissants, yogurt, and fruit. I enjoyed a grilled steak dinner with two sauces, au poivre and mushroom. It is a beautiful place to stay. Staff and service were amiable and helpful. It was a perfect choice.

Très bon endroit pour poser ses valises une nuit un week-end ou même une semaine. A 3 min à pied du centre de la kasbah tout se fait à pied pour apprécier les lieux incontournables de Tanger. Personnel charmant et aux petits soins pour les clients !

We were told 5 days before arrival that the hotel would be holding an event from 6pm-10pm. Nothing more. Turns out it was the most rambunctious singing and music that could be heard from every room in the hotel. There wasn’t a single quiet place in the hotel for us to gather or relax in. Forget sleeping!

Not wowed

Very disappointed in our stay. It was the most expensive riad we stay during our road trip throughout Morocco and although it was very beautiful it wasn't worth the cost. Be aware ahead of time that you have to pay the hotel fee in cash which is typical of most places in Morocco, and we had to leave the riad to find food not much info on the breakfast.

L'emplacement très central. Le calme et le personnel très accueillant. Il manque juste un peu de charme à l'ensemble. Il faudrait aussi ajouter sur la terrasse du toit, un espace chaleureux pour s'y asseoir où l'on pourrait contempler la belle vue et boire un verre.

Beautiful Riad with an authentic Moroccan feel. The style was boutique like which was exactly portrayed on the site. Cons:#1: I had to knock each time I wanted to enter the building. During late hours, it took awhile for the staff working late shift to answer the door. #2: Ant problem in my room, which was promptly cleaned by staff.

Liten svårhittad pärla.

Det var svårt att hitta då det ej följde gatans nummer och låg inne i en smal gränd. Fantastiskt vacker lite pärla mitt i Kashba och nära Medinan. Lugnt och stillsamt hotell. God frukost. Härlig innergård. Det enda jag har att anmärka på var takterassen som borde ha inretts med lite mer möbler och gjorts mysigare. Nu var där bara en och annan stol utplacerad.

Wonderful place !

This little hotel is rated a 5 star and it is ! It is not a big brand luxury. It is a wonderful place! The staff Lamine, Abdelhat and Ameth went above and beyond to treat us like we were royalty! The rooms are clean, beautifully decorated. It is quiet. It is well located. The architecture os gorgeous. I watched a family yell and conplain about the fact it was not the 5 star they are used to in America. It is not America. The place is fantastic and this family was out of line screaming in a quiet setting. Some people are just out of line trying to get free stuff by abusing the system. Disgusting. Disregard all bad reviews ! This was amazing! Even the soaps were traditionally local crafted!

A great riad

Riad Mokhtar is charming, and a perfect location for visiting Tangier. This was my first visit to the city, and I could not have had a more welcoming and helpful staff help orient me. Guests at this riad are only a few steps from the Medina and in easy walking distance from the Marshan. I highly recommend this location for first-time visitors.
