We had a relaxing and comfortable stay for the Thanksgiving holiday. Host provided clear instructions and cabin had all the comforts of home in a beautiful outdoor setting. If we are fortunate enough to visit Taos again, we will definitely be booking this cabin again!
We enjoyed our stay at this cute cabin! We were in town from out of state to ski at Sipapu and couldnt have asked for a better place! Would definitely stay again.
House was great, location was even better. 10 minutes from town but extremely remote. Everything you could need for a relaxing get away in the mountains
We loved this little cabin in the woods south of Taos. We stayed almost a month, and are planning to do it again. It is perfect for two, but can also accommodate a family. We particularly enjoyed the two decks, being in the trees, and fly fishing in the adjacent creek (the Rio Grande de Ranchos). While in a small community of houses with friendly neighbors, it is at the end of the road and affords lots of privacy. It was super clean and the host is very responsive.
This little place is definitely off the beaten path, which is what we were looking for. We enjoyed cooking fish we caught and grilling steaks over a campfire. The kitchen is well-appointed and living area is comfortable. The beds and bathrooms are a bit more rustic than where we usually stay, but it was still comfortable. And Brooke was very responsive.

Such a cute, hidden place. Accommodated my family of 6 perfectly. Has everything you need for your little getaway! WiFi inside the cabin too.
Lovely place for a visit to Taos and Carson National Forest
This cabin was perfect for our visit to the area. It's close enough to town for eating and activities but far away enough to feel like you are in nature. The place is very clean and well stocked. Having the bedrooms on 3 floors allowed for privacy and space from each other. Recommend this place!
Our cabin boasted scenic views with large windows. Our internet connection was surprisingly strong despite our remote location. Beds were extremely comfortable. We enjoyed close proximity to Walmart, and equal distance from Sipapu ski resort and Taos ski valley. The cabin was perfect for our family. Age range of kids 3 to 15. We would love to stay there again!
Just what I was looking for. Secluded home at the end of the road. With beautiful Mountain views. Very peaceful and tranquil. No king size beds, but sleeps five adults comfortably. If you’re looking for peace and quiet and beautiful views, this is where to stay. I will definitely be back.
We had a wonderful stay at this home just outside of Taos! The location was perfect—only about 12 minutes from town, making it easy to explore restaurants, shops, and local attractions. It also provided great access to Taos Ski Valley, Sipapu, and Angel Fire, which was a huge plus for our trip. The house itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The setting was peaceful and scenic, giving us a true getaway feel while still being close to all the action. The host was responsive and made the whole experience seamless.Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great stay near Taos!
Our host communicated very well. We enjoyed the big glass windows and woodwork in the cabin. The porches would be great to sit on during spring, summer or fall! It is very conveniently located between Sipapu ski resort and Taos. Thanks again for our stay.

Our first trip as a family to the snowy mountains. And Brooks Cottage could not have fit our needs more perfectly. Keeping an essential stock of pantry items, Plenty of space, a fireplace with firewood provided, comfortable beds, with updated power and water, just a great stay. We loved being surrounded by woods, blankets of snow, and privacy. Only about a 10 minute drive to Taos, and a 20 minute drive to Sipapu. We would happily stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay. It’s a great location, quiet, and as advertised. Beds were comfortable enough, though many were very small and best suited for small children.
The temperature in the house was hit or miss, but space heaters helped. Basement beds were very cold, even with the space heater.
Some of the amenities were old/expired (spices, bathroom products, dish sponges), but we made do.
Short drive to town and Sipapu skiing.
Would book again.

Great property. Great hostess. Our family of 7 fit just fine. Nice views. Nice deck/porch areas. It’s about 10min to the Plaza in Taos and about 20min to Sipapu ski area, so the location was good for us. Winter weather was not a problem for access in our 2WD van (though, it does have snow tires). Kitchen was sufficient for cooking suppers at night. You can hear the rush of the nearby stream. Definitely a property to book again in the future.
We loved the space that afforded each of the 5 people in our family their own personal space. Our boys loved the creek that’s nearby and spent almost the entire time there. Also, the washer and dryer were especially useful after all the trips to the creek :-). We were also very impressed with the sky! We got to experience the Starlink constellation while we were out there. My astrophysicist husband absolutely LOVED being able to see that and we would never be able to see it where we live! Thanks for a great stay!
The cabin was just perfect to disconnect for a few days but close enough to Taos to go to town on a short drive, 15 mins topsThe cabin is super cute and well equippedWe would totally go back in the summerThank you!!
