"Good food! However, the rooms are dark and damp. And be aware that the AC and all electricity is turned off at 11:00 a.m. and doesn’t go back on until 4:00 p.m. So the hottest part of the day is without AC. "

"What a beautiful place! Million dollar views, an unbelievably friendly staff and consistently excellent food at the restaurant made our holiday perfect. We loved the infinity pool overlooking the ocean as well. The staff are so friendly and helpful, consistently going out of their way to make sure that we had everything we needed. Until you are able to interact with Fijians, you truly don’t know how friendly people can be. Special thanks to Pini, Storm, Millie, Raymond and the whole crew at TIR. "Mere and the whole team were super helpful, friendly and made it a very nice place to stay. The food is excellent with views of the sunset and the ocean. Very easy access to the beach where you can snorkel, grab a coffee or some more food. Recommend using their local knowledge to book excursions such as scuba diving or trips around the island. Look forward to returning one day!"

"What a sparkling gem to find Helen and Peter’s place to end our stay in Fiji. Just perfect for the 2 of us. Its quiet, amazing 180 degree views of the ocean and the islands,beautiful garden with the old gracious mango tree and comfortable bed, and value for money compared to our stays in resorts. Helen arranged for delicious home cooked Fijian meals to be delivered to our door at half of the price of elsewhere You can walk to other cafes and supermarket. Peter bought us home baked bread, coconuts , eggs and milk. Highly recommended would come in a heartbeat. Thankyou so much. "

"This is a great place to stay with a great family. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived, had a wonderful easy time and were very sorry to leave. This isn't a hotel or resort - it's a homestay and we really felt at home. Jale, Nita, Sia and Jima are creative, interesting and generally exceptional people and perfect hosts. They can organise lots of things for you to do, but they don't 'push' anything. It's up to you. The food was REALLY excellent - some of the best food we've eaten, ever, anywhere. My two boys (aged 8 and 10) and I stayed for four nights and would have happily made it forty if we could have. Leaving was a bit of a shock to the system! If you and/or your kids like playing rugby, it's an especially great place. More broadly, Taveuni is a beautiful island - quiet but with things to see and do. Really worth a visit. Give it as much time as you can. Vinaka Vaka Levu - we look forward to coming back which we will certainly do. "
