Enjoyable stay!

Enjoyed staying here! Family friendly peaceful resort just what we’ve been looking forward too. Not recently modernised but I like a bit of character. Great variety of food.

I enjoyed a 5 night break at Sands. A little apprehensive due to several negative reviews however my experience was very positive. The rooms are a good size and have everything you need including full fridge freezer and dishwasher. The entire complex is very clean and is thoughtfully laid out. I enjoyed the lane swimming and the surrounding area is perfect for running. I also used the gym several times. Shops and restaurants are within a 5-10 minute walk. A shout out to all the staff, you are amazing. Would I return - definitely

Excellent facilities, friendly helpful staff, great kids club. The hotel is in a wonderful location not far from the airport. We loved the private beach. The hotel is quiet and peaceful in the evening which is something we liked but if you want evening entertainment this hotel may disappoint you.

The resort was big but felt so cozy. Staff really friendly & helpful. The restaurants were great, serving good food. Buffet style with set adult & child price in one of them. Overall a lovely... chilled ... fun time spent there. Would/ will defo book again.

Stayed here before and it doesn't disappoint. From check in straight forward and everything explained Room was aa i expected spacious clean and beds comfy. Onky disappointment is the sofa, you feel tge springs for the bed settee. Plenty off hot water for a shower etc. Abit of noise from the building works opposite but hotel can not control that. This visist breakfast was included, great variety, fresh and hot, would rather have the bacon more well done but thats my preference. Definitely stay again

This was our first visit to the resort and I have to say we had a great time. The staff we lovely and the resort with lovely and clean. Our room could do with a little TLC but don't let that put you off. Definitely would go back as it's a great for familys. Thanks to everyone for making it such a great holiday.

Good spacious hotel

After a mix up with other accommodation we had to make an emergency booking on the day. So our experience of the hotel was brief. However it was also a very pleasant one. The service from the staff at check in was spot on and took very little time. The room was surprisingly large and had everything you would need. The bed was comfy and there was a bath as well as a shower which pleased the wife!! Overall we had a short but very pleasant stay, so i would recommend it.

Great as always

Same as before, no issues, looked after our needs, daily cleaning. There is a lot of sand but that's to be expected with the wind blowing over from the african continent.

The good: the hotel is in a great location and the staff is very friendly The bad: the hotel is very very run down. Our room was dirty, the sheets had holes, the mattresses and pillows were very uncomfortable and there were ants everywhere in the room. The daily cleaning was poor and was missed a couple of days.

Was quite impressed with the facilities especially for the price I paid. The room (small apartment) was a generous size but the bed was very uncomfortable and the wind was noisy against the old windows. As was the beeping from machinery backing onto the property from the early hours. The room needs updating as not just were fixtures and fitting dates but some were leaky/loose. The balcony was a lovely space quite private. The layout was pleasant too and was quiet apart from the work behind the building.

Our family stay at this hotel was quite disappointing. The apartment was in poor condition, feeling old and neglected. We had to kill about two cockroaches a day, which made us constantly stressed about cleanliness. The kids slept on a very uncomfortable sleeping couch, leading to restless nights. On the positive side, the pool was nice and the kids enjoyed it a lot. However, the overall experience was marred by the lack of cleanliness and comfort.

Requires major modernising.

Cleanliness was good daily. Rooms are incredibly dated & old fashioned (1990s), tv did not work, no aircon, cockroaches in apartment, patio doors insecure when locked. Food choice & quality was very poor (had to eat out & several friend very sick after food), restaurant didn’t accept card (who carries cash in 2024). Pool was freezing. Rooms not grassy on time. No bar to drink in. No atmosphere. Glad I stayed here as a base for sports because of I’d stayed just for a holiday I’d have been bored.

Flat was outdated and looked like it had not been renovated since the 90s. Floor boards broken and swinging up and down when walked on. Bath tub had cigarette burns- put me off having a bath and showering. Sofa was dirty and looked like it had not been cleaned or changed since the hotel first opened. I did not want to sit on it. No amenities in the hotel such as salt and pepper or even water. Room did not have AC- very hot night, no fan. Had to go ask reception for a fan. However it was delivered promptly. Positives: staff were very nice and polite. Easy to check in and out. Close to the beach but not a pretty beach. Island bar/restaurant charged for sun chairs which I did not like- if you are a member of the hotel you should not be charged or be charged a reduced rate such as €1-2 not €6.
