We had a lovely stay at the Barn.
We had a lovely stay at the Barn. It was so peaceful and relaxing - with beautiful outlooks from every window. The master bedroom felt like that of a luxury 5 star hotel - very spacious with the most comfortable bed, a fantastic ensuite and views across the fields. We enjoyed lots of walks and the convenience of nearby towns. Karen was a wonderful host, very attentive and helpful - especially when we left a charger which she posted next day. Thank you for a wonderful stay - we will certainly look to return.

Picture this: a cozy barn with views so stunning you might just forget how to breathe.
Picture this: a cozy barn with views so stunning you might just forget how to breathe. I spent a long weekend there, and it was like stepping into a postcard—and then realising you actually get to stay there.First off, the views were chef’s kiss perfection. From sunrise to sunset, the landscape seemed to be constantly showing off. Imagine sipping your morning coffee while watching the mist lift off the fields, or winding down with a glass of wine or gin or whatever takes your fancy, as the sky painted itself in every shade of pink and orange. It was the kind of scenery that makes you question why you ever spent a weekend not at a barn and this barn had two viewing levels which was an extra bonus.Inside, the barn was a masterclass in rustic charm meets modern comfort. Think exposed wooden beams, cozy nooks, and lots of comfy sofas/chairs to curl up with a book—or, let's be real, a nap. Activities? Well, I wouldn’t say I did much—unless you count becoming a professional cloud-watcher and expert lounge-lizard as "activities." If you're looking for action-packed adventure, maybe look elsewhere. But if your idea of a good time involves reading, napping, and occasionally mustering up the energy to take a leisurely stroll, this barn has you covered. Although we did venture out with the dogs to the National Trust Park which was wonderful - and that was the most energy exerted over the weekend. And the best part? although great wifi is available, I pretended I didn't have any service, once you let go of the doom-scrolling habit, it's like a weight lifts off your shoulders. Instead of texts, there were the chirps of birds. Instead of emails, there were the rustling of leaves. It was the digital detox I didn’t know I desperately needed. In short, this barn was the perfect getaway: a place where the only to-do list was to relax, recharge, and revel in the incredible views. Whether you’re a nature lover, a quiet seeker, or just someone who appreciates a really good sunset, this barn is the place to be. I’ve already booked my next trip back!

Well designed property, relaxing and comfortable with lovely views across farmland to the Wrekin.
Well designed property, relaxing and comfortable with lovely views across farmland to the Wrekin.Lots to do, Shrewsbury is a nice market town to explore with river trips on the Severn available if the weather is good. For a day out there are splendid gardens to visit, National Trust Attingham Park, Hodnet Hall Gardens and the splendid Dorothy Clive Garden.
